It's interesting to me as well. I strive for a real world feel in my stories so I do a lot of research, even if you guys never see it. If you ever look through my stuff at Polyvore you'll see that I have sets for things I haven't written yet.

Oh no I am not questioning the culture. I actual quite love to learn a bit about cultures around the world. It's just surprising how quickly they go through those stages as all I've ever known is where people normally are engaged for at least a year and dating for several before that.

Yeah it is, but I don't question other cultures I try and learn from them. Things are changing slowly there to be more like the West, but it's slow.

Yeah it is. Normally they get engaged and are married within 3 months. I did reaserch it as I do everything I can that I do not personally know. I really like accuracy.

I know this story has been long gone as you have the sequel but I am curious on the whole russian engagement part. As culturally it is very different then what I am used to being an american from the midwest.

The other half chapters are half of chapters that are also written from the other POV in Leaping for your Dreams.

Nik was in an accident in chapter 24 of Leaping For Your Dreams. Well at least that's when the family found out...

And I don't get the thing about "the other half of chapters"

I know this story is complete and I'm commenting a lot, I just am in awe of the effort that you out into this story. You care about each character and make them their own. Wow

Also is it possible that I can have a link to the blue dress it's only showing the birthday outfit and the game outfit (birthday chapter)

Another thing: they've been living in the house (mostly Sid) for a few months, did they but it to have it together? (Sid should know the rooms in his home lol)

Lucky, lucky you... TNY will pick up RIGHT AFTER this leaves off. Thank you for the HIGH compliment. *blush* I write so I am happy and hope and pray that someone else likes it. If I don't do my best to make it realistic, then it breaks my suspension of disbelief. Or to put it a way that expands people's vocabulary: If I do not use verisimilitude then I do not enjoy it for I know it is incorrect.

Thanks for that video, that crossing looks VERY similar to the Roman Catholic one. The only religious groups that I know of that cross themselves are Catholics (of any flavour) and Orthodox believers (also of any flavour).

Wow, it's finally over. What a wild ride! Will the sequel have any of the summer in it or will it start at the beginning of the season? I love all the details you manage to fit in. Like I said, I love informative and educational reading, even in fic, and you're one of the best in this genre of fanfic that I've found!

Re: our earlier exchange. I came across a video today in which Crosby makes the sign of the cross (I presume before the start of a game considering how he's geared up and the lighting). Of course, that is not conclusive for Catholicism but not too many other denominations do that. It's at about 38-39 seconds in.

Never said you would be doing a lockout fic! Just speculating on how to get them to Russia before the following summer and a lockout would give them that kind of time to travel a little bit. And yeah, if no lockout, of course they would be much too busy to get to Russia/European honeymoon before summer 2013.
