Lord Kenton is a rather interesting person, to say the least. I also love how there's more to him than meets the eye. I also loved how you described his home with all the artworks, and how many of them should be in a museum. When Juliana had that thought about all of his artworks, I instantly thought of Vermeer's The Concert. The only reason I thought of it was because that painting was stolen from a museum and is one of the highest priced stolen artworks in the world.
Anyway, I can understand where Juliana is coming from with how she fired back at Kenton when he criticized her. But, also, I don't think she handled it the right way. Yes, that may be a soft spot, especially considering she's never really been criticized before, but still, criticism can go a long way. As for Lord Kenton, because he's probably been working with vocal students for a long time more than likely, the criticism was called for, but also, he could have gone about it differently.
As for the chapter leading up to Juliana's meeting of the mysterious Lord, I thought it was a nice layout and transition. I also found the parts where she was mentally asking herself how Kenton's butler got down to the gate to be rather hilarious.
