There's more good than bad to say about this, though I do have one bit of constructive critism that's more so a personal opinions so if you wish- ignore it.(:
The story's idea is beautiful with its meaning, I'm a huge fan of flowers and what they symbolize. (Forget-me-Nots one of my favorite flowers so I was thrilled those were in this.) Your imagery is perfect, you describe the scenes wonderfully.
The only minor thing that seemed missing for me (and here is my opinion) is that there was basically no dialogue. I'm sure you have your reasons- probably the style of this story- but I just wish the characters would speak- because that shows just as much as beautiful images, even if the words are short and simple.
But carrying on- I really love this story idea and I hope you continue. Perhaps you could do lilies? (:
