Nate is Amazing!!! Hitting on Sid in the delivery room......priceless!

But I am glad that Sid made it - hopefully he will get his head out of his ass and really step up for Janelle. She needs support - not to be a referee.

My goodness she certainly was verbose at 8cm. IME, sentences, much less interactive conversations, were mostly beyond me at that point because of the intensity of the pain/experience.

And yeah, I vote for Sid being helpful and providing lower back counter-pressure - short of drugs, nothing but nothing helped as much as counter-pressure in the right spot for back pain in labor. He's all muscly, he should do a great job (my husband thought his hands were going to fall off, they ached so, but he was too petrified to stop...). And yeah, she was totally right to kick their asses out. Stress on mom during labor can extend or even stop labor.

The last two chapters were HILARIOUS! I hope Sid and Nate can calm down so they can be there when the baby is born. I'd personally love to see Sid with a baby girl.

There is no dignity in childbirth. It's a damn miracle and all that jazz but it's freaking primal. Check your expectations at the hospital door. Also, please note your child has not examined your calendar nor has he or she read your birth plan. If you want it cut and dried, simple, everything and everyone abiding by your plans and schedule, well, don't have kids. Because they are irrational and unpredictable for YEARS. And then they grow minds of their own.

At least, that's my experience.

Omg its baby Crosby time, I think it would be great if the baby is a girl, I see Sid's back to being a first class arse, I hope he realizes what a great experience hebs about to miss, it would be kind of funny if he makes the realization in the middle of the game and just skates off the ice and leaves for the hospital.
