Sid's POV echoed what I believe his true response would be - his family is very important to him and so is doing the right thing.

Yes, there may be fall out, but I think the fact that his Dad committed to him that he would support him no matter what he decided ultimately told Sid what he had to do. What his parents had taught him to do.

I'd have loved to have seen a short paragraph from Sids pov while he was watching the ultrasound. After everything they've been through. It would have been intresting to know what was going through his mind as he was watching their baby in the screen.

It's so good to see Sid finally come round and be the support that janelle needs. This baby is going to have two of the best parents anyone could ever ask for.

I am glad that Sid is starting to come around and be a part of the pregnancy. And what I also like is that he is trying to be understanding of Janelle's feelings. Yes, he wanted to know the sex of the baby, but he yielded to her decision - and even supported her decision. He was making sure that she was ok with short texts - and then the SUV.

I dont for a second believe that he did that just for the baby - that was the excuse he gave Janelle because he knew that it was the only way she would accept it. Sid understands that Janelle is fiercely independent and is not asking for anything from him - so he has to be careful in giving her things.

I think Janelle is a little leery of Sid's motivations - which is understandable - but I think she is feeling a bit better about his attitude and involvement.

I like the added Sid POV chapter - I think it gives the reader a little more insight into what the characters are going through. I understand that you are wanting to tell from Janelle's point of view - and that has been great - but it is nice to know where Sid's head is at.
I hope he realizes that Janelle is giving him a gift by telling him he isnt obligated in any way to be involved with the baby - they he could preserve everything he has. But I also hope he realizes that isnt a luxury that Janelle has herself. No matter what she decides about the baby, her life will be altered forever.

Yes, Sid has a lot to lose in this - I am sure all of his endorsement contracts have a "morality clause" that they could envoke at any time if he behaved in a manner "unbecoming" to their product - and a baby out of wedlock could give the companies an out if they wanted.

But he also has a child to gain - what would have become of him, if his father had walked away from his mother?

Is love to see more chapters from Sids pov. That was absolutely perfect. To me he's a very scared young man that's been handed probably the most scary and demanding job that will ever be asked of him.

This isn't the 50's and having a ring on your finger doesn't make you a good parent. The nuclear family no longer exists and the family role has changed. A child who grows up with two parents who get along with each other will probably have a much healthier upbringing than one who's parents live together and just don't get along.

Hopefully Sid will see what's right and be a good daddy to his baby.

Hun, it is your story. If you want to make Sid out to be the biggest asshole known to man, you can. You've made it clear that this is a fictitious story; run with it. If people don't like it they don't have to read it. Write what you want.

The fact that you have portrayed Sid as a dick is definitely a departure from what we are used to seeing - but isnt that what fiction is all about - putting your own spin on your own story!

And as much as Sid was a cold and heartless dick, that serves as part of your conflict in the story. Conflict, as much as it takes the reader on a roller coaster, is what truly drives a story. It polarizes your readers and encourages them to invest themselves in your tale.

I am a big fan of Sid's - the real guy - and the fact that you could alter my "view" of him with your writing is a testiment of what a good job you have done. You made me believe he was a jerk!

I think you should tell the story your way - you do a great job. I really cant wait to see where you take this next!

Janelle is my hero. Not many women will tell the father of their unborn child to walk away. It took some major inner stenght to say what she did and I admire her so much for that.

Can I marry Nate please ? I love him, he's just amazing and I think we all need a Nate in our lives.

Yes the way Sid handled the whole situation was crappy. But I think it was the only way he new how to.(like a lot of men his age do) Hopefully know he and janelle can meet somewhere in the middle and they can start to get along better.
