I know it's pedantic but the word is not wah-la. It's voilà. Pronounced like v-wah-lah but not in point of fact spelled anything like that being as it's French.
Regardless, ch. 21 is pretty cute! I don't really buy the underlying premise of the whole story but I'm choosing at the moment to handwave that away.
Also, green frosting is naaaaaaaasty. Nasty bitter stuff. Surely I'm not the only one who can taste some food colorings? Totally ruined the sweet cupcakes I brought home from school.March 21st, 2013 at 05:47am -

BTW, in ch. 15, it's hija, not hijo. Hijo is son, hija is daughter. The ending of nouns is important and indicates gender. Actually, in the hispanic families I know, mi hija/mi hijo is contracted to mija/mijo. Also, hacienda means ranch. if you're asking Oliver what he's doing in Dallas, it should be ¿Que estás hiciendo en Dallas? Because right now you're asking Oliver how is it he's a ranch in Dallas. And it's Mamá and adiós with the accent but of course, accents are usually hard to add with english-language keyboards and such.February 16th, 2013 at 08:36pm
