I always love stories like this that deal with war and the personal losses it causes. His letter to her is so beautifully written and you create such a vivid sense of Klaus's love for Caroline. It truly is heartbreaking to know he never made it back to her, but she will always love him for the rest of her life even though he is no longer physically with her. Even in such a short piece, you did a great job portraying their undying affection and desire for each other. I'm thoroughly impressed by your ability to do so much in so few words. The ending line was my favourite. I love that you tied the title in like that and it just made this all the more bittersweet.
I loved your summary, and I loved the actual story even more! From that little that you had wrote, you could clearly tell that she was madly in love with him. I especially loved the ending line. It was so heartbreaking. You did a great job on this. I really did love reading it! :)
Wow this is a really great start, I like it. You're writing style is great it flows well and I even teared up a little toward the end. The whole thing was well written and I loved reading it. Very nice can't wait to read where you go with it... might need a box of tissues though.
But God guides and lightens the path of who He chooses. And I feel compelled to say that I find it strange that death has become your mind's business.
The sad story aside, and the aching in mind, what do you feel is the reason for writing about these dark things?
