I think the thing that I like about your writing the most is that everything is just so raw. You don't skim over the gruesome details, nor do you leave anything out for the sake of the reader feeling slightly better. You add everything in and it's almost overwhelming in this piece, which is a good thing! I genuinely sat speechless for a few moments after reading, which doesn't happen very often at all. Your description is really beautiful in a way, which is unusual considering the subject matter. It's delicate in places, but then you've got this really harsh and nasty paragraph where Artemis is killed and it totally turns everything around. It makes the mother seem merciless, in a way, but then we get the moments where the other two are peaceful and it quells that slightly. I have this mixed view of the mother because I know that she's trying to do the right thing by making sure that the Gods look after her daughters, but then again, she seems rather merciless and cold as she is killing them. I'd love to get inside her mind, which you've shown a little of here. Characters who believe they are doing the right thing even when what they are doing is so wrong are probably my favourite of all the characters and you've portrayed that beautifully here.

The main reason I actually clicked on this was because the title reminded me of The Virgin Suicides and I was happy to see that, in a weird and roundabout way, it is slightly similar but totally different. I'm really glad I decided to give this a read because I really enjoyed it. It was dark, it was twisted and it left me with so many unanswered questions that I can make the answers up to for myself. Perfect.

This was just so eerie Shocked I came here with the intention of not reading it all, just skimming over it as you know, but I couldn't because I was hooked by the story and your style of writing. It was truly so haunting, yet very well described. I don't know much Greek mythology, but I don't think that took anything away from the story. Now I'm left wondering about the father and the mother, and the daughter that appeared to had survived...

Cheese Yes, I love these kinds of stories from you. Like Kaite Murphy, very straightforward and not afraid to include the gruesome details. I really think this type of writing is your strong point and you excel at these dark crime stories.

I really liked how you wove the Greek mythology into the story and made it an important part of the mother's characterisation. You did a fantastic job showing her slow descent into madness over the years and how her overprotective nature just consumed her.

The way you described Artemis's death was hauntingly brilliant. The details of her struggle and her arm falling over the side of the bed after she died painted a very clear mental image of the scene.

the God awful sight of her eyes wide and unseeing

This was my favourite line in the whole story. I just found it gorgeously worded and just brilliant.

I thought it was great that you had the mother go in reverse birth order of the girls and that she truly believed that she was doing the best thing for their safety. It was a chilling story to read, but I loved every second of it. You come up with some very creative and unique plots.

Ok, I felt uneasy before even reading the first word. Whenever people use floorboards in their layout, all I can think about is The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. Confused And the story reminded me a lot about Shutter Island. The woman (Rachel, was it?) that drowned all her children and then Leo DeCaprio (forgot his character, ha) found it and he went insane. Does the husband go insane???

Also, by the Gods, the main character means Greek gods? The Furies go after those who murder kin, I know I remember correctly... If she went insane and hallucinated the Furies pursuing her! OMFG It makes me sad that this is completed. I have so many questions, as you can already see. Well, Athena's fine, what is she going to do? And the mother, the father??? This was fantastically dark, I enjoyed it a lot.

That's horrifying!? What was running through your mind during this story?

The picture goes well with the idea, as we never do meet the girls...
But omg...this is just a terrible story, just so devious. o.o

And I have to sleep soon, what will I do?!

This is beautiful. Like I don't really have anything else to say other than that and normally I can write a novel of a comment. But honestly, this was fabulous. There was no grammatical errors, no spelling mistakes and just perfection around every corner. I don't know if you're continuing this but I really hope you do.

I love that so far you're the only Autumn person :) I also really loved the story; very eerie and I liked the incorporation of Greek myth. Your descriptions flowed really well also. Great work :D
