Awe that was gorgeous, I loved how the ending played out :)

I found this story today and read it in one go and uuugh. this is what perfection looks like!

seriously, I've read so many fanfictions that revolved around depression and it's always been like just the sole presence of someone "saved" them. and that's not depression. not at all. maybe people the like the concept of being saved.

but your story is spot on, still in a positiv way. It's not about being saved but saving yourself with the help of others. I really hope a lot of people will read this, this is a wonderful story. keep up the good work :)

Ugh, I've been following this story since July and it's been so amazing. I'm so happy to see things end on a positive note after all these emotions and all that they've gone through. Well done. What an amazing story. Totally would love to see daddy John and mommy Leighton in the sequel.

Aww finally they are so freaking cute! Seriously I love them like this all lovey and stuff. They both deserve it so much. It just makes me so happy.
I just don't want it to be over, the only thing I ask for is a cute epilogue and possibly a pregnant Lei they would make such good parents. :)

This story has in fact been a roller coaster of emotions. But I wouldn't have it any other way. From start to finish, this story had me wanting more. I'm so happy that both John and Leighton are working through everything.
As for the sequel, I think it should be after rehab. Maybe even a year after? And yes to a baby O'Callaghan!

Actually, I think it should have a little time gap, a few months, after his rehab. You can always do write some flashbacks! I can't wait for the sequel! This story was so amazing! I've went back and reread the earlier chapters and it all makes sense. God, you did such a wonderful job planning every detail out!!! This was truly an amazing story and one of the best things I've ever read and also one of my favorites! Wow! I can't wait to see what is in store for the sequel!

I can finally take a breath! I felt like to whole story was so intense and I'm glad it ended how you ended it. Couldn't have done it better. And also, in my opinion I think you should start the sequel immediately after the last chapter? I personally don't like skipping what happened and John just suddenly becomes a dad but I will read the sequel either way. Thank you for sticking with the story until the end! It's one of my favorites for sure.

About Tate and Garrett: it seems like they come to an end... What worries me the most is he and Pat being in the same band, but not in speaking terms. It's a fucked up situation, I hope that time heals this.

This was such a light and cute chapter and I'm so happy about them! I knew they still had a chance to make things go right! It was so nice to read this chapter, and FINALLY John talked with his family! I'm just so happy it is even ridiculous how happy I am, hahaha!

About a sequel, I think you should tell their story after rehab, maybe the first chapter could be a abstract of rehab, and then their life after this. (And you should do a happy end, yep! haha)

When I got a message "Don't give up on me - happy stuff" from my friend...well, reading it was the first thing I did this morning. And I swear! Everyone has been talking about this story on tumblr for a few weeks. I follow like 3 or 4 blogs with drabbles and one-shots about John and really, suddenly? Everyone and their fans....BOOOM!

Anyway, that was so...great and fantastic. I'm so proud of him and THANK GOD FOR LEIGHTON! And Jenny! Go Jenny, I'm team Jenny. Yupp. My fav line was “Treat her well, you hear me? Because if you two split up you’re going to have a hard time seeing her when you come home. I’ll make her marry Shane if I have to.”

I'm sorry, I don't know why but I always love his girlfriends so much and I'm a huge fan of them even if it's only a fanfic or something. Yay. Well, yeah, it's just me.

Can't wait for the next chapter and... SEQUEL! I know it's too soon but for me? A baby. I know, their situation is sooo complicated but... maybe after his rehab, the baby would help them fix things and would fix...him.

Nahh, that stupid. But I bet you have so many great ideas and I can't wait.

So, when I read the title, I got teary eyed because I figured it had to do with his parents. And when that actual part came up, I just was so happy. I'm so proud of John and how he's dealing with all of this. And Leighton too. She stuck by John, even when it got tough.
Sad for it to end, but happy there's a sequel. No ideas though because I suck at that.
