It's up!!! I'm sooooo sorry it took so long! Please forgive me!

Where's my update!?

1. Close! The quote was Myna's reaction to what Jamie's mother said to her. It was, "I'm not worthless. And I don't have fleas."
2. Well the intentional quote was "That's not a request!" But what you guessed sounded like something out of Beauty and the Beast, so I might have accidentally quoted it there too...
3. Yep! You just added a little bit more. The actual quote starts at "What's in a name."
4. Again, the intentional quote was "As you wish," but I might have accidentally quoted it in another place too, because that sounds familiar...
5. The quote was, "Trust in me." It's technically Kaa's song in the movie, so I guess I should have said lyric instead of quote.

Sorry about any spelling errors!!! I type it on my Kindle Fire, so I/autocorrect don't always catch them. I'll try to watch that! I'll also try to describe things better! That's always the mark of a good story, so I know what you mean. Good catch in the title being a quote!!!

I'm glad you like the story so far! I'll probably bring Bane in to be more of a main-ish character soon, but the story is going to mainly revolve around Carcer and Shadow. Just like to say, the layout is not mine. I found it in the layout section and used it, because I thought it went well. They don't technically need Carcer, but since he's seen their lair, they can't just let him go and Bane doesn't want to kill him, for reasons I may or may not divulge in(/think of). The next chapter is supposed to be Bane talking to Carcer about whys he's there and Shadow's past and stuff like that. I hope that will satisfy your desire for the reasons behind certain things. You know, once I put it up.

2. Uh, the quote from Beauty and the Beast is... "Wait, in time? I don't know who you are but I don't plan on staying down here." Again, just a guess!
3. Next quote... "It might not have been a real name before, but you could have made it one. And besides, what's in a name? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Yes, another guess! Forgive me if I have been wrong!
4. I'm randomly picking them now! "I think you are bluffing about your numbers."
5. "Forget that name, forget that life. It is done. You can do nothing about it now."

Okay, so I thought I'd take a look at your story, and I have a few suggestions :) There are some spelling errors in your story and missing commas and full stops that need to be adjusted. Also maybe try to be a little more descriptive on imagery rather than focusing on dialogue. I find it's a pet peeve of mine though, so it probably wouldn't bother others so much. You certainly are big on quotes! The title is one as well! And I hope I at least got one of your quotes right!

In any case, I like the story so far. It's interesting that you have placed Bane as a sort of side character. You have some potential, and I really like your modesty. I hope you continue the story, because I'd love to read more! Your layout is nice as well! Maybe you could include a hint on the bigger scheme of things? Like why they need Carcer? Perhaps a little soft side (if only very briefly) on how Myna became Shadow? I wanna read some lovin!
