Wow, this is amazing. I love the description that you've used, it really paints an amazing picture of the surroundings. I'm a massive sucker for war stories, and this one was incredible. The last line is really chilling, it really makes you think about the morality of war. The idea of the children being deadly is really creepy. The thought of child soldiers/rabid children in wars honestly terrifies me.
