So, I came across this story due to the recommendation I had received from addictedsevenfold. and I am so glad that she suggested it!

Violet is strong, that's something I have to give her credit for, and her love was so strong! The fact that she could give in to something like that, to the fucking monster, is something I admire about her. She's not like the weak Mary-Sue types that are found in every other story. Zacky has such an amazing character as well! His development in the story grows from such a weak minded.. THING to someone I ultimately want to slap in the end despite the fact that he dropped Amber and started getting his life back in order haha.

Your characters have depth, amazing back stories, and the plot just thickened with every chapter! I absolutely loved this and I am not at all ashamed to admit that I managed to cry more than once while reading this.

Now, as much as I'd like to continue to gush about you're brilliant writing, there's a sequel tempting me. XD

Finally I caught up!! Awww... Craig broke her into pieces again.. Violet is a strong girl and I know she can get through this! I loved how you ended the story. The last line just explained so much and made me feel so sad. She spent the whole story putting herself back together and making herself a better person. Now Craig made her break, so basically if Zacky and Violet ever reunite, I have a feeling she isn't going to just run to him with open arms. She's going to have to restart from square one.

    I love your writing.

Honestly, every story you've created so far, I've fell in love with.

    You're amazing.

    Never stop writing. Thumb up

This story was so good. I'm actually pretty sad that it's over! But at least I have a sequel to read. I just really love Violet's character. So good job with this! It was amazing. :)

    Holy Fuck.
Woman, you just made me sit in a goddamn parking lot for three hours, until it apparently became so suspicious that the cop assigned to patrol the area had to stop and question me about whether I was involved in a drug deal or something. I'm being completely serious. Apparently it's considered extremely sketchy for someone to sit in their car in a parking lot outside of a baseball complex for hours, with only the light of a cell phone to prove one's existence. So then I had to awkwardly explain to this cop that, no, I was not waiting for my drug dealer -- that I, in fact, was kind of curious as to how stupid one would have had to have been to do a deal in a camera-monitered parking lot in the first place -- but was simply overly engrossed in reading a story on my phone to have not even noticed the sun set. The conversation got really awkward really fast when he asked what the story was about. Suffice it to say, that's the last time I'll ever scroll through Mibba stories on my phone when I'm only trying to waste a few minutes while I wait for the traffic from an accident to clear down. Apparently I have an addictive enough personality that I cannot stop myself in the middle of a good story to drive the fuck home.

That ordeal aside, though, I otherwise love you with all of my heart for writing and posting this story. And I don't say that stuff often, because I'm one picky ass fan fiction reader. I usually hate stories where the main character suffered any kind of substantial abuse... but you just had to go and suck me in by hiding that little fact until I was already obsessed, didn't you? And then you just had to make Violet's character complex and real enough to make it totally un-cliché and so easy for me to get over my personal vendetta against all similar characters. Not that any character could be similar to Violet, because you made her just that freaking epic. Never before in my life have I felt my heart ache so much for the female character in the story, and never before have I cried so freaking hard for one, all while not pitying her in the least. (Which was also really freaking suck-ish to have to explain to the cop, because it was like Black Beauty up in my little coupe. I'm not even PMSing, for crying out loud! And that was a bad choice of words. Pun not intended.)

Anyways, I also usually hate stories where the whole other-woman character is a bitch and is cheating on the man, and blah-blah-blah-teenage-drama. Seriously, I usually hit the backspace so fast my screen should have a warning for being seizure-enducing. I always think it's such a cop-out to a plot, just because the author needed an excuse to throw in girl-fight drama and give the main character an in, but holy crap how wrong I was! I never once imagined that such an antagonist could actually be so fundamentally important to a plot that was so incredibly unique and completely genuine. Never once did I imagine that such a character could actually work the dynamic of the completely-fucked-up-relationship without making it appear that the man is just the epitome of dumbness and pathetic-ness combined. But you gave that relationship a real basis, and you made it make so much sense for why Zacky would be with Amber and why he would be willing to stay with her, why he would be so desperate to stay with her. You somehow made his character so tragically desperate for love that it actually wasn't pitiful or shallow, like almost every other attempt I've ever read. It's honestly true artistic beauty, what you did with those characters, with all of the characters. Although, I must say: Violet and Amber, really? He's just got that much of a thing for girls named after colors? <----- and that's more a funny coincidence I noticed than a criticism, don't worry.

And don't even get me started on how you managed to make me not despise first-person.

Now, I will not make your eyes bleed by forcing you to read so much of my small little text that they simply cannot handle it any more. You had twenty-nine chapters I could list multiple specific examples of things I loved and things I hated so much that I loved. You had twenty-nine chapters that I could sit here and tell you how I was impacted by them and how I was starting to think I was going to be in a constant state of that painfully tingly sensation that somehow feels so near-orgasmically good at the same time. You had twenty-nine chapters that kept me locked in my damn car long enough to get fucking interrogated, woman! But I will not make you read through twenty-nine chapters worth of my reviewing. I'll keep it to two scenes.

And I'm going to start with the ending, because I know how polarizing it was and I do shit backwards anyways. I hate Craig, I hate what he does to her, and I would not blink twice if half of Vegas had to die in your story just to kill him off, but I do not for a second hate the ending of this story. (It's a good thing that cop friend I made won't be reading this comment. I feel like I could get locked up for that admission.) But seriously, love: Violet was that feisty, strong woman who had a backbone because she wanted to change and because she had the support she needed, but she'd have had to be both stupid and masochistic to have not surrendered at the end. People have breaking points. Eventually, he was either going to make her reach hers, make her fake it, or kill her. So everyone shouting at her to not give up needs to seriously question how sadistic they are that they would ever want her to endure worse than she already was. Sometimes breaking keeps someone the most whole. So I want her broken? No, of course not; I want her in Zack's arms telling her she needs him and watching him look at her with hope and adoration. But I want her broken so much more than I want her dead, so much more than I want Zack hopeless and defeated. So, Bravo, Violet: you get to live, at least in the most basic definition, and you get to stand a chance that you'll survive long enough and get lucky enough to end up happy. That's worth congratulations, not booing.

Next on my list is Matt's sequence of events resulting in Violet running off. I know everyone else that's read this story is probably throwing such a shit fest that tickets are actually sold out, but I gotta say, I can't blame Matt. Yeah, he should have given her a chance to explain, and he should have at least searched for some kind of back up proof, but his wife was in danger. Just saying, he'd have had to be a really shitty husband in my books to have not flipped the fuck out and started acting rashly when he's told someone he thought was a friend was actually responsible for scaring the shit out of his wife and putting her in harm's way. Just saying: I hear you, Matt. Good on you to protect Val! Now, get some ice for that bruise you totally deserved to get for saying any woman ever deserves to be beaten, and get your shit straightened out, now that your wife's safe.

Now I could go on for days listing other things I want to comment on, but I made you a promise, so I wont. Also, I do need to sleep at some point tonight.

I will say that the one major complaint I can think of throughout this story (and I mean, I was trying to think of criticism for this, too!) is that I dislike the way everyone has been saying Zacky is the one that changed Violet. Like, I get why they've said that, and I actually get where Craig's coming from with it, but, let's be real, guys: Violet didn't suddenly become a different person because Zacky made her into one, or anything remotely related to Zacky. Love the guy, but he shouldn't be getting any credit. Violet became a good person, a different person because she fucking wanted to be. She didn't leave Craig for Zacky. She didn't finally get the internal strength to realize she didn't want to be that person anymore because of Zacky. She didn't realize she was important enough to not tolerate being treated badly because of Zacky. No, she did that on her own, and she fucking deserves the credit for that! Zacky gave her something to fight for to keep herself good, and he certainly helped her grow and definitely showed her that love can actually exist and be compassionate. He showed her how much she could have, and made it so that she wouldn't settle, but he did not do the original changing. He helped change her into who she became, but she made herself not a monster. I just hated to see her lose that credit, because after all she's been through, she deserves to at least hold onto that, you know?

That aside, I can honestly say that I completely and utterly loved every single aspect of this story. I feel like a broken record, but I just can't stop telling you how absolutely emotional and unique and real this story feels. It's simply not possible to communicate how simply epic this story was. But, hey, you probably already knew that from the hundreds of comments and subscriptions you've already gotten.

Kudos, love. I cannot give higher praise anywhere else.

Still mad at Matt and Brian. When they get Violet back they had better bust their butts to make up to her. I really hope you update soon, I need to know what is going to happen. How is Zack going to get her back??? I'm dying here. By the way I was crushed yesterday when there was no update for this story. You've got me hooked!
