Starting Over With a Second Chance - Comments

Alright so this is the second story I choose hehe. Just finished reading the first chapter and I LOVED IT!! Aww poor Brian. All these stories about Jimmy's passing is making me sad lol. I miss that fucker so much, you don't even know. I completely understand why he's drowning his sorrows in alcohol and drugs even though it's not the best thing to do.

Aww, I'm glad that even though things didn't work out between Brian and Rachel that they are both working together to take care of their daughter and they are getting along well. Honestly, the only reason I talk to my daughter's father is for her sake because otherwise I wouldn't be talking to him at all. I can't stand that fucker but I'm trying to be friendly with him for our daughter's sake even if he doesn't really deserve it.

Anyways, even though Brian isn't the best of fathers and he could clean up his act a little more, he is still a good father. Just being there for her, spending as much time as he can with her and showing her how much he loves her goes to show that he really is a great man. Brian is such an awesome father, way better than my baby daddy, can he be my baby daddy instead? Or maybe Matt, I most definitely wouldn't mind Matt being my baby daddy ;)

Rachel is such a good mother and friend, going over to be with Brian, since he is obviously going through a rough time. I think that whole confessional thing they did was cool and good for them and I hope that they put it all behind them like they said they would and focus on being the good parents they can be and working together. I tend to push people away just like Rachel does so I understand.

Aww yay, I'm glad that they are going to get back together and work things out. I hope things go well for them. That kiss between them was so sweet and tender and I was just like, "Aww yay" lol.

Ah shit! That shower scene had me going! I was kind of hoping they would fuck in the shower but the bed is fine too. Mmm that blow job, her running soap over his body, ah the images ;) I want to be her!

That smurt scene was definitely hot and sweet and I loved every minute of that. Wish it were me but that would never happen sadly :(

I can't wait to read the next chapter, all of them getting to spend time together as a real family again. I have a feeling it's going to be real interesting when Rachel's parents fid out they're back together.

Alright, I'm done rambling...for now. Off to read the next chapter.

God, this story is so perfect so far. If you continue it I'm sure there are going to be parts when things are going bad, and in those parts I'll feel like dying, I'll cry, I'll eat a lot, I'll be all noddy and depressed, but who cares?! Every good story has sadness in them. You carry on, girl!!!! This is the best story I've ever read, and I don't want it to end this soon.

The layout maker does certainly take some getting used to haha. I spent many a day, tearing my hair out in frustration cause I couldn't get it to work XD

I'm with pekigirl :D you should continue it or write a sequel :D I loved this update :D and I was laughing so much with Addie being a pain in the butt xD and like I said I love your writing so do what you think is best, continue the story with the year gap or a sequel :)

make a sequel, even if right now you only have a general
idea of what you want to write) I think you should go for it, definitely. I love this story and I love your writing, so I'll keep up with you :)

Thanks so much for the kind words!! We would definitely see an opposite dynamic between Brian and Addie in the future during her teenage years.

Yes, his hand getting better is definitely a good thing! Though it would have left plenty of room to play with how writing it out would go if it hadn't, I felt like Brian just has too many people relying on him and he's gone through so much craziness already. It may have just been too much to write it the other way.

I'm glad that you like the family! Thanks so much for your input! If I do continue it, I'm kind of leaning towards a sequel as well, making a layout etc. This is the only A7X fic that I've written that doesn't have a layout because it took me a while to figure it out/have the patience to do it lol.

Awww, another lovely chapter! The way you write Brian with the baby is just so adorable!! I'm so glad that she's getting better now and they're able to take her home with them. I really liked how Addie took the news too, so mature for her age. I had to laugh at her getting all excited about the baby and then being sulky with Brian, dude, she's getting older now, wait until the dreaded teenage years kick in! XD

I'm glad too that his hand is better and he's able to play guitar again, I think if it had gone the other way, he may have been tempted by the pills again.

Hmm. I would definitely love to read more about this family, I'm not ready to give them up just yet! If you're thinking of pushing it forward a few years then I think a sequel would be better, finish this off on a happy note and start the sequel fresh with them having had Luna for a few years.

But it's up to you, either way I'll keep reading :)

One of my pet peeves is when an author so obviously doesn't know what they're writing about, it really gets on my nerves so I was really glad to see you knew what you were talking about. The hospital scenes too, so detailed.

I felt so many emotions, they were all over the place! Haha. But you know you're doing well when you can evoke emotions so easily. Really, well done :D

I love it when readers find my stories realistic and believable, that's totally what I'm going for with most of them. I try to throw in an even balance of sexiness and sweetness, so I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying both aspects.

I generally try to do research when I write about certain topics and it's really nice when readers recognize that, it makes it all worth while. I've had this story bookmarked for so long but life and shit got in the way of me sitting down and reading it. I finally did it though, and I'm so glad I did!! I'm so in love with this here story! The fact that you use my name as the female character just makes me love you too haha. All those times Brian shouts it out in the throes of passion and whispers it good night are totally making me swoon all over the damn place! XD Rachel Haner has an amazing ring to it don't you think? Haha

I think what I love the most about this is that its so believable and completely realistic. You don't throw in any unnecessary drama or take it over the top, its just them working through their relationship, trying to raise their daughter. I love it. I think I love the fact that Brian is a sex crazed monster the most (that bathroom scene, shew!)

You had me so scared when Brian and Addie had that accident!! I've never read chapters so fast as I read those to see if he was going to make it! Gah, the emotions! And, I have to say kudos to you for the whole addiction thing. That is something that happens to a lot of people all the time, you handled it really well and obviously did your research, which I like. Brian's detox was really done well, realistic. I tip my hat to you :D

Okay, you made me cry with that dream! I shed a few tears too as Brian cradled little baby Luna in his arms, what he said to her was just beautiful.
