Madness - Comments

  • This was just... wow. I absolutely loved it. I'm a big fan of the show and of Hannibal fanfiction, and you living up to my ridiculously high standards. You wrote the characters so well - the asides with Will checking the clock was a brilliant technique and grounded the story in a time and place, just making it seem infinitely more real - and the situation was brilliantly explored. Your writing style is exceptional and I was upset that the story had to end, just because it was that good and that gripping. Of course, I love the mild Hannigram at the end, and think the subtlety of it made it that much more profound. I loved it - I cannot say that enough.

  • Well thanks. After How To Be A Heartbreaker I had intended on reading the other stories of yours that I had pulled up. But once again, overcome by emotion, I had no choice but to comment on this one as well. I don't follow Hannibal, though I have seen one episode(the pilot of course) but I am on tumblr, and well, that pretty much explains everything. I just.... I have a lot of feels about this piece. I can't form a cognitive or coherent response. I am so glad that you won, because if you hadn't, I most likely wouldn't have ended up reading your story. No offense.

  • I never really realised how much the song fits to Will and Hannibal, which is strange because Muse are my absolute favourite band and Hannibal is quickly becoming my favourite TV show. I really really loved this, though. I loved the way you got Will just right, because in my experience it's been easier to write Hannibal because he's so emotionless and Will is the complete opposite. Awesome job. c:

  • This was...wow. Incredible.

Your writing is wonderful to read and as I scrolled down to the bottom, I didn't want it to end! You've done a fantastic job at this and I seriously love everything about the story. Thank you for entering my contest!

  • This was extremely well written, I liked it very much.

I think that you portrayed both characters extremely well, with Will's shaky and unsureness and Hannibal's calm and proper exterior. I liked very much how you consistently had Will checking a clock or his watch to know the time and place, because he is very frightened or upset when it comes to losing time and he does like to know when and where he is at all times.
I can't say a lot about Hannibal's character just because it was a short story but his dialogue was executed very well, I felt as if this was a scene from the tv show itself. Again, you captured the nature of both characters very well.
