I’m here as the new judge for the ‘Pre-Writes #2’ contest.

My HEART. My heart my heart my heart. It’s melted. Totally and thoroughly melted! I can’t believe it’s possibly to have so much fluff and sweetness all mashed into one story, but here we are. This story was filled with so much love. I love stories that are family-focused because they’re really underrated. And even though this was about Albus’ sexuality and Scorpius kind of, you spent a lot of time and effort putting love and acceptance into the Potter-Weasley clan. All of the emotions. So many feels. And I really, really love how it was literally a story about unconditional love. I’m so used to awful reactions when a kid comes out as gay that it’s so refreshing to read a story about a family being all “YES SO PROUD OF YOU” because coming out is such a nerve-wracking thing. Though now I’m picturing awkward dinners with the Malfoy’s and a lot of muttering while Albus and Scorpius are over there being cute and in love and literally choosing to ignore the awkwardness between their families.

I really love how you portrayed all the characters, especially older and wiser. Ron and Hermione made me laugh because you really captured their classic dynamic what with his muttered comments and Hermione whacking him upside the head for it. And the fact that Harry is still so in love with Ginny and could still remember when he was sixteen was so precious.

I really enjoyed your writing style, too. It was smooth and detailed in every way without being over the top or excessive. It made this such a pleasant read.

So overall, fantastically cute and emotional story!

So I know this was posted a while ago, but I re-read it and now I'm really wanting awkward family dinners with the Malfoys. It would be so damn funny.

Aww this is so cute! I've never read anything from the point of view of the parents that have been told their child in gay. And I haven't even read Harry Potter all the way through, but it felt that anyone could understand it without the knowledge of the books/movies. Really good!

This made me so happy. I almost started crying. Cry

I like the direction you took the story and how it jumped so far into the future. I think it was a very good and not commonly used idea. I think you captured the characters and their reactions wonderfully. I've always thought of Harry as a very understanding person when it came to other people and I knew if someone else's sexuality came into play, Harry wouldn't be judging of it.

Oh and making the boyfriend Scorpius was a really nice twist. It's like if things aren't crazy enough, now we have to meet the Malfoys for family dinners. tehe

Overall, this story was just entirely cute and heartwarming. I think it's a wonderful concept and I think you got it pretty spot on. (Now if you'll excuse me as I'm going to go conk Ron on the head now.) Cute

This story was exquisite. I love the concept of Scorpius/Albus. I just wish Scorpius would have been with him for support or something along those lines. Otherwise, this story was perfect. Good Luck!

So this was on the front page, and it was about Harry Potter, so I gave it a go. And I am glad I did. I think it's great that you didn't focus on one of the main, original or favourite characters, and placed Albus Potter in a new, better light. And it's just amazing. Honestly. o-o

I understand that it is a one-shot, but you should really write more like this. You could make a load of people really happy. tehe
