Why did you put a smiley face at the end of this? THIS WAS THE SADDEST THING I'VE READ IN A LONG TIME. I LITERALLY CRIED. I can't tell you how beautiful this was, though. I loved every single word of it. It's been awhile since I've found something on Mibba that was so heart touching like this. It felt so genuine. I think comparing her mother to the breeze was so, so perfect and warmed my heart. And when her grandmother was talking about how familiar Natalie was to her and reminded her of her mother... I freaking lost it, okay? The tears were freaking real. Especially the part where her grandmother talked about how Natalie "just showed up." It makes me think that maybe, Natalie was drawn back to her grandmother's home simply for the reason to be closer to her mother, to follow in the footsteps of her mother, even. But mainly feel like it was to be closer to her mother. Truly, I can't express to you how much that this touched me. Thank you so much for sharing this. ❤
