So I just found this and I love it and I really really really hope you decide to finish it. I kinda need to know how their meeting finally goes because they are too cute for words.
I hope he doesn't "puss out" this time! She deserves to know the truth. I can't wait for more of this so yes, please continue with this and update soon!! Xxx
Jesus, how hard is it to just man up. It's almost too painstaking to read. I just want them to meet already! It's stressing me out, lol, gray hairs everywhere.
Yay!!!! I really love the chemistry between her and Matt!! I hope she gives Matt the chance to explain himself and realize her love for Matt...they would be so perfect together
@Damsel Of Darkness GAH your comments are amazing!!! and they just brightened my day. I have been planning on updating but school has consumed my life. But i do plan on updating soon!!!!!

It’s kind of crazy how she’s referring to her ‘boyfriend Matt’ and he’s literally sitting across the room from her and the poor girl has no idea! I don’t know who has it worse… Matt, who knows the girl he’s crazy about is literally right under his nose or Linds who is pining for a guy she thinks doesn’t care about her because he won’t make time to meet her. I can’t help but feel like Matt’s deserves what he’s getting a little bit, because he is the one that made the situation what it is.
Argh, it’s complicated. Haha.
I don’t blame Linds for not wanting to go out with them all on the first night. It’s a bit overwhelming to find out your longtime friends are literally dating/marrying rock stars, especially if you’re really into the band. It’s hard to switch off your fan girl side, it’d definitely take time. Haha.
On the couch, alone, with her telling him that he reminded her of someone… couldn’t have gotten a more perfect moment for him to come clean! Argh, damn you, Matt!
Chapter Five
Bahahaha! I love that Brian is being a nosy little bugger! I hope he finds out the secret, but only if he does the decent thing and calls Matt on it. Or just outs the whole thing to both of them so they can see if it’s salvageable, which I hope it is. But… having said all that, I think even if Brian finds out, the way he’s gonna deal with it is to flirt with Linds and force Matt to come clean out of jealousy… but, I could be wrong
Argh. I’m not a fan of Brian right now. He’s being a bit of a dick. I guess I think he’s being overly judgmental and nasty to Matt; his friend. I mean, he’s not even getting his side of it, he’s simply jumping to conclusions and thinking the worst of him. That’s not cool.
And on top of that, he’s now actively pursuing the girl he knows his friend is involved with. I get that he thinks Matt is just playing with her, but still… it doesn’t seem like a very fair thing to do. Not to mention poor Linds is stuck in the middle, being somewhat played from both sides. Poor girl.
Chapter Six
Well that was unexpected! I can understand why Matt lost control, she is the girl he’s been crazy about for the past 5 years… but geez, could he have made the situation any more complicated? I can’t say I blame her for thinking he’s just trying to compete with Brian for the sake of competing, but it’s frustrating knowing that if anyone is doing that, it’s Brian.
Argh, no Matt! That’s such a bad plan. Make her fall in love with you again? How does he honestly think he’s going to pull that off? Surely she’d eventually start piecing it together… I mean, it’s not like they had a 6 month online relationship. It was 5 years. I’m sure a lot of history and family anecdotes and personality traits had been shared in that time, so surely she’d eventually figure out that he’s the same Matt she’s been hung up on.
Okay, I’m hooked on this so I hope you’ll decide to update sometime soon. I’m pretty sure I’m firmly on the side of Team Matt and I hope they can work it out and Brian doesn’t mess things up too badly.
So, I stumbled across this story some time ago and I bookmarked it to read it later because it sounded really interesting and today, I finally got off my butt and decided to read it!
Warning; I write my comment as I read and they tend to get very long and sometimes a bit rambling, but hopefully you don’t mind!
Chapter One
Y’know, I totally get where Linds is coming from. I think on some levels it’s easier to fall in love with someone online, because you can’t rely on physical attraction, you have to get to know their personality and fall in love with that before anything else can come into play. It doesn’t even seem weird to me that she’s been dating Matt for 5 years and has never met him. It’s a little odd, but not totally crazy, since clearly he’s avoiding a meeting and hey, other things like money, work and just general life would probably prevent either of them from traveling to meet the other.
I can’t help but feel sorry for Linds at this point. I mean, it’s one thing to have things getting in the way to stop them from meeting face to face, but to have him constantly throw excuses—rather lame ones at that—it really sucks. It’s sad the way she’s second guessing herself… and that she felt the need to change her physical appearance to please someone that refuses to meet her in person. I can’t help but feel for her because she thinks he won’t meet her because of how she looks… it kind of makes me mad at him. I mean, I know the real reason why, but the poor girl doesn’t!
Chapter Two
Her mother seems very… tedious. I don’t blame her for having attitude with her, especially since she doesn’t come off particularly caring or loving. I mean, I’m sure she has good intentions behind setting her daughter up with someone, but I don’t know how I’d handle it if my mother kept trying to meddle in my life. It would incredibly frustrating!
This is random, but the way Matt keeps calling her ‘love’ seems odd to me. Only because it’s generally a term I would hear a British person use regularly… so because of that, I’m reading Matt’s speech with a British accent, which is weird, because he’s clearly not British. Haha. It’s probably just me, though… I can be weird sometimes. I’ll make an association then find it really hard to break it.
I hope this trip is just what Matt need’s to finally push him to suck it up and meet the poor girl. I know he’s got a big secret he’s been hiding, but honestly, I can’t see it being a deal breaker…
Chapter Three
I’m kind of glad to see Matt so torn over things with Linds. It’s nice to see he genuinely cares and feels bad for avoiding meeting her, but at the same time, it’s unsettling that he still maintains it will never happen. It’s hard not to think he’s being unfair, keeping her on the hook if he never intends to meet her. What’s the point?
I’m glad that things are working out so that through mutual friends, they’re going to be forced to meet. I’m sure Matt will hide his true identity—or at least try to. It’s funny how the universe works… not to mention karma
See? It’s exactly like I said; Karma. And yes, Matt, it is a bitch… but hey, kind of serves you right for not trusting her enough to still love you for you and not care who you are to the rest of the world!
Gonna post it over two comments, coz it's long... hahaha.
