  • Did you take down the chapters to this story? I wanted to read more of it, but I got busy after I commented the first time and never got a chance to finish it.

  • Alright, so I've been postponing reading this story and with the calaverita de azucar you requested on my "candy bowl" blog, I decided to finally read. I know the calaverita is for a one-shot and I was initially only going to read one chapter, but I ended up reading all.

You are incredible at describing scenes, emotions, painting a perfect picture that allows me to see the characters and their stories come to life. The psychological struggle is real and you didn't romanticize it like I see with most of these type of stories; you explore the raw reactions, the trauma, the human side of what society would classify as a monster; I think you are absolutely brilliant and this story reflects that. My favorite part of this has to be the character interactions between the Painter and Gia, how you drive back in flashbacks that not only explore the relationship that these two have, but also the psychological toll that trauma has left on Gia (flashbacks are the main symptom for PTSD and I'm very pleased to read a story where this is portrayed so realistically with triggers and anxiety and fear).

I am definitely subscribing and I'll make a recommendation blog soon featuring this story as the main story and featuring you as the author too. I hope to read more from you because this has gotten me hooked hard.

  • I just read the first chapter of this, and I adore it. I found myself wondering what was going to happen. There's so much more I want to know about The Painter and Gia seems like she has an interesting future ahead of her. I'll have to come back later to read the rest.

  • Wow, this is really interesting and original. The summary alone really captured my attention. It's so dark that I really like it. tehe I love how twisted The Painter is. I mean, it just makes him such a curious character that makes me wonder what he's going to do next! The end of the first chapter was like "WHOA" because he gained an apprentice. It's like... I wonder what Gia's going to be doing. Don Also, the way you write is so fluid and it kept my attention throughout it all. You're really a great writer!

By the way, I love the layout. I've never seen one like that before! It's awesome! But to be honest, the picture scares the crap out of me. Shifty I'm a scaredy cat. Haha

By the way, I'm sorry I haven't been around. It's my training week at work and I've been so busy. mrgun I'm happy to see your work whenever I get the chance though. Arms

  • Ahhh, your writing is so creepy and fantastic and unique. I don't usually read horror-type stories, unless they're by you, because you write them so well I can't help but read.

I like how much mystery you created in the story. You basically left The Painter nameless, which I think helped make him seem less human, but by calling him The Painter it seems like he has a bit of a softer side as well. I dunno, haha.

I'm interested to see what happens with Gia. I can't help but think that she's going to end up like him, from what you said in the last sentence. I’m excited to see how it all plays out.

The layout was amazing too. It helped keep everything really mysterious, but still tied in with your characters well.

    Lovely job, as always!

  • The layout for this is just perfect. Creepy, atmospheric and just a tad unusual. I really love that!

I'm totally into anything creepy, crime related or anything with the slightest hint of horror so I was so excited when I started reading this and it seemed to be a massive mesh-up of all three! I love the complete air of mystery you have surrounding The Painter. He doesn't have a proper name (which means I can happily think he's a monster without feeling bad - quite an interesting little thing, Gia has a name so I instantly feel like she's got a human side but The Painter just seems...I don't know, he doesn't seem human to me), we know virtually nothing about his history and we don't know what he looks like. I love mystery in this type of story and this sounds absolutely incredible so far. I think it's kind of creepy and weird that he gave Gia an elk skull and it's obvious that she's ill or not getting the nutrients she needs because her hair is falling out and that was just so creepy and weird and why did he have her chained up ugh?

Your writing is flawless as usual as well. I love the description, it's so strong and powerful. I have a perfect picture in my mind right now of the woman hanging by her wrists and to be quite honest, it's freaking me out a little, haha! Sentence structure is beautiful, everything flows fabulously and I couldn't spot any spelling or grammar mistakes which is always a massive bonus.

I have so many questions and theories forming in my head already (my favourite part of crime or horror fiction!) and I'm super-excited to see where you take this. I'll definitely be subscribing, keep up the good work! Cute
