    Hi,

Thank you for the feedback- I never thought I'd ever get any, especially from a judge~ I found the story pretty relatable, since I'm Asian and am 100% sure that I won't be marrying an Asian. But I'm quite sure that after my dating scenes, my parents will be fine with it :) Grandma might not be as happy, but she'll manage.

I’m here to judge for the ‘Those Who Are Shamed’ contest.

This was such a weighted one-shot that I really enjoyed a lot. You started out with this awful and emotional scene between Alexa and her parents. I know that it takes so much courage to stand up to your parents like that, especially in Chinese culture where what Alexa did was shameful. She gave up her parents, much to her dismay, for her husband. I think that shows what love can give you and you captured the depth of it so well.

I also love how you actually developed the parents while focusing on Alexa and her life since she cut her parents off. The fact that they called her husband instead of her to apologize spoke volumes, and I’m assuming that Alexa told him why she cut them off so I really liked that he wanted to give them another chance to right their wrongs.

I did think it was kind of amusing that Alexa practically had the same name as Alex, and then they gave both their children M names. It was an endearing little touch because I know there are strange coincidences like that out there.

Overall, this was a cute and subtly powerful story so good job!
