This isn't what I would typically find myself reading, but I'm glad I did. I like the fact that the story began with an argument, because it's a really good way to spark interest in the reader. Max seems like such a well-developed character thus far, and I can't believe how this chapter ended on such a cliffhanger. I hope she's okay and everything works out between her and Vic.
Great story so far! You managed to write a very interesting first chapter. I like how effortlessly you made the dialogue to read. Nothing sounded unnatural or forced and it worked the way an argument would.
Also, I like how the relationships between the characters are already developed. That's not something you find in stories anymore, and it's very interesting. I'd like to know their backstories and I'm sure you'll share that in the next chapters.
