I only read the first chapter because I have a lot of comments to leave before tomorrow. I'm determined to finish the christmas blog today. I did like the story, I just felt left out a little, but I'm sure if I read more of it I wouldn't have felt that way long since the two stories aren't related. :) I'll be sure to go read more of it as soon as I finish the blog comments and let you know if I still feel confushed. But seriously, I love your characters! Especially Marcus just because he reminds me of a couple guys I used to be friends with.

And I'm about to read To Light Up the Dark now.

The first GOW has nothing to do with this one. I'm trying to stay true to the feel of GOW by not really explaining a lot of the back story because humanity has been at war for so long they kinda forgotten over th course of years gone by.

Hi, so I'm here from my christmas blog. This... I'm a bit confused reading this, but I think it's because this is the second part and I haven't read the first. The writing is really good. I love the descriptions. Your dialogue is probably my favorite part. Your characters feel real, and that's not the easiest thing in the world to do. So Well done. :) I'll have to look for the first Gears of War story to catch up on the full story.
