So I've had this story bookmarked to read for quite a while now, after reading the first story of yours I checked out. And, hmmm...
First of all, I still think you are a great writer. This is really well written. But just, ugh, I did not like the relationship in this story at all.
Maybe if there had been another installment, to maybe warm me up to Katelyn's character more... idk. It's just, she lied about so much. So I just kind of feel their relationship was built on lies and not very healthy. It surprised me that they ended up together, because I mean, c'mon. Who lies about dying with something that serious? And not to mention, Alex's best friend and MOTHER lied for her as well. If my mother ever went against me like that, my God. It's just... like the betrayal is very strong in this story and it surprises me how easily Alex seemed to forgive and forget. Regardless of Katie's reasoning; I'm glad he got back at her but he honestly should have moved on from her, after all that. If anyone did that to me I just... wow. Like... just wow.
But just trying to give my honest thoughts. You did a great job with writing it, it's just... yeah, I just can't believe how it all played out. Maybe it's just the backstory that would have needed to be developed more, to convince me to love these two together. I guess we can't all agree with everything we read, lol.
But I'm glad I finally was able to read it; just another story of yours I've read to check off. :)
