Here from the Magazine's contest!
I like how that even though it's set in a story's world and between two different chapters it's easy to read for someone who doesn't read the story and doesn't know the background leading up to the scene. It's really good when an author can do something like that and work it really well.
I love how they decided to dress up as Thor and Loki and their friends as Batman and Robin! That was my favourite bit! The whole DC vs Marvel standoff that have is brilliant and I found myself smiling the whole time. The way you write does a good job at making the reader want to know whether this is normal for the characters and if not, how they normally act and see how the relationships that are apparent begun or ended. After all it seems like you just took a snippet of a scene of their life to show in a way to entice the reader to find out everything before and after the scene. It's great!
This was a nice read and I think you did a great job with this piece. I really enjoyed reading it.
Thank you so much!
