Hey there~ I'm here as a judge for the Magazine's Winter Wonders contest.

To be honest, I was a bit overwhelmed when I saw the length of the story but after having read it, I can say that the length was very well worth it. It can be hard to keep a reader's attention with lengthy one-shots but I think you did very well with being able to keep the attention on your story. It was a little bit quickly paced, however, that seems to be a trend in many romance one-shots so it doesn't take too much away from the story.

Your story was so cute, oh my gosh~ Alex and Jake sound like such an adorable and cute couple. I love the way you described them and their developing feelings. Their feelings were realistic and something a reader could easily relate to. Your story really can give the reader a very warm and fuzzy feeling after having read it, that's how very sweet and cute it was. ^^

There is one thing I'd like to mention though which is the lack of double spacing in-between your dialogue. On sites like Mibba, the coding doesn't support the tab key, which is why most people will use double spaces in-between their dialogue and paragraphs. For longer stories like yours, the single spaced dialogue can seem daunting and get a bit confusing. I have relatively bad eyesight so there were a number of times that I would look away for a second and end up losing my place if I had been reading a dialogue scene. I would just recommend going through and adding in the double space to make it a bit easier on your readers.

Overall though, your story was very sweet and I really enjoyed reading it. Cute things are always nice to read every once in a while~ You did very good on your story, nice job.

Simply adorable. Pretty fast paced, but it was still a smooth story. I had never been a fan of holiday romance, but this was very, very cute. Kudos.

Great job on this! I love how you start off the story, it's simple but always so nice in my own opinion. The way you describe the setting is perfect and when you describe the chill, it's just so realistic and you can just feel it and know the sensation! You also allow the reader to really connect with it because of your description, which is a great thing. When Alex started talking to Becca, my heart kinda melted and I thought it was the cutest thing, then when Jake came to the "rescue" I just laughed out loud. It was so nice to read about him being concerned for his little niece! The dialogue between all of the characters is great and so natural, it gives it a sense of realism that I just love in a story! And they are just so cute. I have to admit, I giggled when I read, "You’re kinda beautiful, you know."

This was all just so perfect and adorable. I loved it, really! Keep up the great job on this and this is definitely earning a recommendation!
