I love the first line! It's one of these lines that instantly hooks you right in and gets the reader involved right from the get go. It definitely pulled me in straightaway.
I'm so glad someone has finally posted a story about how difficult it is to get a career in performing arts! Music, drama, everything like that - it's virtually impossible to live out dreams with months of hard work doing stuff you hate and I think for that reason, this story seems to pull me in even more. As someone looking to go into the performing arts industry, it definitely gives me that connection to your main character right from the get-go. It's really heartbreaking when you find out that her plan (another interesting part of the story most definitely!) backfires and she ends up having to start from scratch.
I loved the concept of this and the realism it provides. Good job!
