Love this story. Very interesting and nicely written! I love the dialogue--it flows naturally and sounds like things that people would actually say. And please don't stress yourself out about updating! I'm happy to see these chapters whenever you post!

I completely understand what you mean about deadlines, especially in relation to this story-- the reason it's usually late is because i always spend a little more time than expected trying to edit/correct what I'd written over the course of the week. I'm glad you liked the chapter too, I was really worried. And as far as flow goes, I'm mainly uncertain about the balance I'm lacking between prose stuff and dialogue stuff. this is ending up way more dialogue-heavy than id intended and it's weighing on my mind.

I personally like this update. Creating flow is something that I am not sure I can really help you with, as it is a struggle of my own. However, this story is not exactly lacking flow in the sense that it has become choppy or anything. It is really a matter of the story itself, and this one is set up in a way that is very forgiving when it comes to transitions that aren't always perfectly smooth. For instance if you were explaining an actual road trip you wouldn't necessarily mention every single detail because not every second is worth mentioning. Everything feels connected without it being overly drawn out or losing the sense of being relatable. That probably made no sense and was very redundant.

As far as feeling like you are losing your talents for drawing and writing when they are needed the most right now, don't worry yourself over it. This is probably caused by a lack of true inspiration, or the fact that these talents which you presumably love doing are not used to being forced so it creates a sort of mental roadblock. Just try to remember that it is a way to freely express your creativity, not just chores and assignments with deadlines. If your chapters are a bit late it isn't the end of the world. Don't update something you absolutely hate by a set time if you think a bit more time could make it something you are proud of. You didn't start this story over just to give up on writing it how you really want it to be. Also, your friends shouldn't get sick of you, and if they do then it is their loss and you can definitely be my friend.

I am defiantly enjoying the story! Very cute and i love the idea of a road trip :) i plan to take a road trip right after im done with collage!

first of all, thanks so much for leaving a comment. your reaction is exactly the kind I was hoping for in this "second draft," as you say. especially about frank's pathetic-ness. he's still sorta pathetic, but I'm so glad that his reasoning is coming through better this time around. ugh, I just, ew, feel so embarrassed about the first tryXD thanks for sticking around!

Alright, restarting this was a brilliant idea. I definitely like this version much more than before, and I was subscribed to it before so it wasn't a bad 'first draft' if you don't mind it being reffererred to as such. Personally, I am really excited about this story now.

I am glad that you like this change better as well, because that is the most important thing. If you are interested in what I find so much more appealing about this new beginning I am going to share that, otherwise you don't have to read past this point if you don't want to. I think the characters are more developed in a way that draws you in and helps reason out how they both are in the situation that they are in now. Frank's home life and school life make more sense now, and honestly I feel for him in this version rather than almost viewing him as just kind of pathetic, which I was sort of feeling about him before. Gerard is still cold and sarcastic, but it no longer feels like he has no sense of concern for Frank whatsoever. The trip no longer seems like Frank following along just because of some crush and not having any reason from his own life that justifies going. I feel like there is a purpose that wasn't there before, and this seems more like a story that can grow into something big.

I hope that makes sense. I really am looking forward to this story, and I think you are a great writer.

Aahh, omfg I really fucking love road tripping frerard. I don't know why but like it's probably because there is so much you can write about and they're stuck in a car together and lots of shit goes down. As a writer, I think that road trips are the best scenario to write about because fuck there could be so many amusing/heart breaking/fucking miserable times and you're all over the place :) and VIRGINITY YAASSSS. OMFG I love fucking virginty fics (LOL no pun intended) ahhhh I just really love road trips.

Can't fucking wait for you to start this :3
