Great chapter : ) I think at a certain age, age between people dating and in relationships cease to matter as much. Normally that is not 21 and 30 though but it depends on the people. They just don't have many common life experiences yet.

Well, tbh, she's starting off her 'real' job on a bad note if she's going against her boss's edict first day on the job. Doesn't matter if the boss is a passive aggressive, possessive control freak or not, that's just stupid. If the boss says stay away from the players, then going to a party with them is just asking for trouble.

As I am secretly a total sucker for Brooks, I'm really digging this. Great start! Looking forward to more.
