This is so good! I've seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind a few times, and I like how you incorporated it into this story. Hopefully this is the last time Amanda has to clear her memory. The first chapter, I really liked how you kicked it off, explaining how Amanda had no one left she really cared for, so she wouldn't mind as much playing guina pig as much. And then her and Ryan! They're so cute together! (More hope here for no more memory loss) Also, how strong of two character's you've made. Ryan for being able to take having to remeet her every month, and still believing she's worth it and Amanda for being so determined to remember him after, I really hope it works out for them, but then again, a couple unexpected twists and turns do make for a good story in the end. Great job, I love your writing style, update soon! Mr. Green

Alright, so I admit I've been subscribed to this story ever since you started but never got around to read it because of life and all that stuff. But now that I've read it, I wanna like punch myself in the face, because this is amazing and I can't believe it took me this long to finally check it out!

First of all, I love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It's one of my favorite movies, but even if I hadn't watched it, you've given the readers a clear understanding of the memory erasing process. I also love how even if it's a spin-off, it's your own premise and you're using your own characters. Can I just say that in the span of seven chapters, you've already made me care for these characters so much.

I've gotten so many feelings, it hurts and it's great tbh. Their interactions are cute and because your writing has conveyed the chemistry between them so well, I'm already rooting for them to be happy together. I love how she feels comfortable with him because it hints that deep down there's still a connection and it ties in with the movie's whole "you-can't-fight-fate" thing. Even if she gets her memories erased every month, she's still drawn to him.

But oh lord, poor Ryan. Even though it pains him to know that each time her memories will be cleared of whatever nice moments they've shared with each other, he still considers her worth it because he really just likes being with her. She's important to him and I could feel how much he cares for her. What really broke my heart was when she came crying to him after finding out he was the one to be erased. This has been going on for a year and it's also stated that this isn't first time he's seen her cry. I mean, he's witnessed this multiple times and oh my heart. Cry

And now it's the last month and like I'm freaking out because something feels off to her. She feels like something's missing. DOES THAT MEAN SHE KINDA REMEMBERS HIM DEEP DOWN? OMGYES But really, I love this and I cannot wait for what'll happen next. Your writing is absolutely gorgeous and you're doing an amazing job so far. Cute

So when I first read the summary I knew something was going on with I thought that maybe they were kidnapping people and brainwashing them secretly and I guess I was partly right. It's interesting and I don't think Amanda has lost as little as she thinks I mean she said herself that no one ever remembers that they even got the procedure so who knows how many times she's had it or what she's forgotten.

I like this story I think I may come back and read more, great job.

The first and only mistake I found was in the first sentence of of the summary.

You would think that with all of the technology that there was that Lacuna Inc. would be a magical place.

    Should probably be

I have only read the first few chapters, but they are stunning! I love this idea, it's amazing! I kind of sort of wish the chapters were longer with more insight in her mind, but I still like it!

I can't wait till I have time to read more :3

Oh my god, why did you ask me to read this? This is tragic.

I've never seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, but I know that it's, like, renowned and I've read a brief synopsis of the movie, so.

It would be so weird to know someone so well while they know almost nothing about you. Ryan definitely has it harder, I believe. (also, I think Misha is a great faceclaim. I couldn't stop picturing him while reading.)

I hope you describe the procedure when she gets it. I mean, I'm all for vague, skipping to the next interesting part, but I'm sort of a science nerd and would like to see how you would show it. With that being said, I'm still eager to see the next step in Amanda and Ryan's relationship, and I REALLY HOPE THEY GET A NORMAL ONE SOON. *cries*

This just gave me a lot of feelings. It sort of makes my heart hurt.

    p.s. the layout is beautiful.

    Summary / Layout

I'm going to admit right now that I've never watched Eternal Sunshine despite it being on my list of things to watch for years. Nonetheless, the way that your summary goes does make me really interested in reading on! Your layout is lovely too -- I really like the way the banner ties in with the idea of forgetting all about someone.

    Content

I really like Amanda, even from the get-go. She just seems to have this really cynical view, especially in the first chapter, of the work that Lacuna do and I like seeing that side of things because utopia isn't ever really perfect in my eyes and I can relate to her thought process on that.

Oh gosh, I wasn't expecting the whole idea of Ryan being deleted from Amanda's memory at the end of each month! That's crazy and if you think about it, it's incredibly unfair on Ryan. I'd really like to see more from his perspective on that because I reckon something like that is eventually going to take a toll on someone. We get little glimpses here and there, but it's never outright said and I think that's interesting. It keeps me reading on because I really am desperate to outright see what he says about it.

I think the relationship between Amanda and Ryan is heartbreaking though. They could be perfect together but Amanda's job won't let them. It really is a shame. I hope they do something about it, or someone runs away or something like that! In an ideal world, I'd like to think they'll have the chance to have a proper relationship.

    Overall

I didn't see any errors when I was reading and this is a really compelling storyline! Your writing is so natural to read and the way you develop the characters more with every chapter is lovely. This is awesome, keep up the good work!

Super psyched at this take on a relationship turmoil sort of plot. Totally leaves the road open for a lot of places to go with the characters and the plot. I really love the idea that Ryan has a long lasting struggle while Amanda has a cycle. I like the idea that every month is different. I'm wicked excited for your next update!

I don't know if you care much for minor mistakes, but in chapter 4 you have "...she was enamored by though of being..." and I think you meant "by the thought of".
Chapter 4 was otherwise totally cute! It's interesting to see more of her thoughts about him Cute
And chapter 5 was a nice insight on both of them, really starting to highlight the struggles that I was wondering about when I first starting reading this story. I really don't have any con crit or anything - you're writing this so well and it's so interesting, so keep up the amazing work! Cute

So, I love this. I like how you based it off of something else but it feels completely original.

I don't want Amanda to lose her memories of Ryan. Like, I want her to magically find a new job where she and Ryan and be together and remember every little thing. So,yeah. Let's hope that happens.

This story is still super good. It's so sad that every month Ryan is erased from her memory and he has to start all over with her. Why would she want that though? To become friends with someone only to have them erased for your mind? It seems so sad to me...
Great update and I'm looking forward to the next one!

I love this, so much. The concept is unique enough that it can easily be read as entirely original fiction instead of a spin-off. Plus something about your username being tabula rasa and the fact that this story deals with erasing memories tickles me, it's funny and awesome. Keep up the good work. :)

I think the concept for this sounds very interesting! I think it will be neat to see the consequences of trying to forget someone and the residual memories that could possibly come along with it.
Amanda seems like a very interesting character. I like the idea of her being used as a test dummy - I could see that being a big fallout for the company in the future!

This sounds really interesting. It reminds me of a TV series I recently discovered called Dollhouse, which is super interesting and brainwashing and whatnot XD Anyway, this story just screams drama. I can see so many possibilities coming from Amanda and Ryan's relationship, and it would be so unique because of Amanda being erased every month. I can't wait to see what happens next! Cute

Best concept in the world! with a wonderful start and glimpse into Lacuna. I feel bad for Amanda, but we can already see she has her reasons. excited to see where this goes.
