So after responding to your comment, I stupidly realised that I didn't know if I've ever read any of your work (I am notoriously bad with keeping track of these things) so I came to check it out.
I thought this was a really solid beginning. Your first chapter was great - you fleshed our your two main characters quite well, I was laughing my ass off at Ricky, and there was enough detail in there that I didn't really have any lingering questions. It was good. =)
Second chapter - now, you know I loved that, right? Because I'm a ZV fangirl, too. (Obviously.) I really like the way that you portrayed Zacky and Brian, because I don't think I've seen them done that way before. Brian's usually just a cocky dick, but you made him this caring guy that took the time out to check on his sick friend, on his own birthday! And the comment about wanting Zacky to text him when he got back to the hotel, that was cute.
When it came to the alley scene, I wondered if it might be Amber who was down that alley. Because she and Zacky are going to meet at some point, right? But then when Zacky was getting the bad feeling, I wasn't sure what to think. Were you writing smart zombies, who could lure their pray? And then all of that actually happened...
And I sat here with my mouth open for a full damn minute before I realised that that's it. There's no third chapter, so I won't even get to find out what just happened!
And now I'm super freakin' curious, because that is the most unexpected thing ever. Did not see it coming. =|
So in short, I really like this, and I wish you would have written more! I hope you still do!
Haha, awe, I'm sorry to leave you hanging like that. Like I said, I had great ideas for this fic, but after seeing the amount of readers without a review, it was disheartening. There are a lot of people out there that are making the most simple mistakes in wiring, but yet get a ton of comments while I was not getting zip. Not even criticism. It's been so long, that I have forgotten where I wanted to go with this fic. But it's commenters (sp?) like you that make me want to jump back into this.
