Wow, I love the way this is written. It reminds me a lot of when I was depressed. I'm also glad that you chose to describe things in a very specific way that gives this narrative a harrowing and nightmarish quality. It would be so easy to write about sadness as "wah wah wah im sad feel bad about me" as I've seen it done countless times before, but I read this and I think to myself, "Yeah, you get it."

Hello! I'm commenting on this story as well because I just realized the story I asked you to comment on is super long compared to Regina Saxony.

Prelude - Very interesting way to describe what sadness is. I think you're the only person I ever came across who can give such an elaborate description of an emotion.

"I've never had a person treat me as bad as I treat myself." This was my favorite line. I don't know why, but it got me.

Chapter 1 - Just like in your other story, your description is beautiful. I could picture the ocean as if I was watching a movie and I could even smell it. Your narrator is an interesting person and I wonder if the man was just a passerby or will have more importance later on.

Chapter 3 - I actually like how you took on death. People do tend to describe it as some sort of good escape but I like the darkness you gave it.

I don't know how I to feel when the narrator tells us that she liked the sound of the sirens. That's interesting, indeed.

"Stiff. I want to be floating." I think this may be my favorite line in this story so far.

This is off to a great start. It's simple but there's a lot of impact still. You leave me wondering what's going to happen so props to you! I'll be subbing and rec'ing :)
