I really like this story because it has an interest plot. The idea was phenomenal because I sensed a lot of symbolism within. I don't know if you did it on purpose, it it just came out, but it is there. It brings out a strong message. I felt like it spoke to me about having something missing from within ourselves after something bad that happened. I felt for the main character. I felt the pain, the sadness and the overall "fear" of not remembering or feeling lost. This is a great story with a great idea. You managed to use a lot of imagery which made me visualize the story as I read it. The words drew me more and more, and I didn't want to stop reading. Maybe for you it was a random idea, but I believed it came out great. You are a great writer, so you should be proud.
