I love this story so much... Everything about it is just so great. I can't possibly put into words anything that would do this masterpiece a justice, but I can sure try. I liked the custom layout, and I found that the way you spaced the paragraphs made it so much easier to read than most stories. I loved the characters, the plot, the length, and everything else about it. It was by far the longest story in this competition, and I love that. If it was a short one page story, I'd be begging you until you made a sequel. It was obvious you put a lot of time into it, and giving you that extension was the best decision I've ever made. I thought the plot itself was very touching, and it hit very close to home.

Only three years ago, I suffered from something almost the same as Alex goes through in this story. I was the leading scorer of my league, and I was ready to Captain my team to our first championship. One of my teammates got slashed, and an opposing player made a remark about my girlfriend, which was all it took to get me fired up. I fought him, and knocked him out, but his teammates were seeking revenge and I took the bad end of a clip later that game. I went headfirst into the boards, broke my collarbone, two vertebrae in my spine and three ribs, as well as puncturing both my lungs and getting a major concussion. Anyway, long story short, I've been there, and I was lucky enough to recover. It also happened to one of my old teammates, and he wasn't lucky enough to even survive more than 24 hours after the incident. So I've been through that, and I know what it's like. I found it very touching to see people exploring that, and the level of realism you added to the experience was uncanny. I'm not really sure if you've been there yourself, but you did a fantastic job of painting that picture, and making character emotions realistic and easy to relate to, and for that I thank you.

I can't go on and on, because I'll waste your time reading all of this, but again, thank you so much for the entry. I really appreciated this, and it was so much fun to read. I'll be sending you a private message shortly so you can select your prizes, so just hold tight. Thanks a lot :)
