Sickness? Hmmm I wonder what she's referring to. Something mental or physical? We shall see.

Zombies? Yes. I wonder what kind of zombies they are. Super killing machines that are fast or the lazy kind that you can run away from.

I totally agree with her. I am a very practical person myself and don't really think of far off things. I'm the opposite with the religion thing, though. Most religions don't make any sense to me XD

Oh my gosh I love the Warm Bodies, Walking Dead and World War Z reference. Hell yes.

It makes sense the US would be hit one of the last since we are separated by water and have a military that would most likely try to shut that thing down in anyway they could, though nothing can last forever.

New York City would be an awful place to be in with how little space there is and how many people there are that could quickly and easily become zombies.

Oh my gosh, no, she got bit Sad this is so sad and I can't believe that Ryan is staying back to try to help her. He needs to run! This is so emotional I just wanna cry Cry

And now he's talking about all of the bad things he did and I still can't be mad at him because it's just so sad and cute.

    That ending was beautiful!

    Plot

I absolutely love the plot of this story. Zombie fics are always amazing to me, and I like how you went with the scene of what seemed to be some of the first destruction instead of where they are at a camp or something. I love that you chose the last moments of Mika's life to show us, and I think it gave us a great insight into her character. This was the perfect scene to show in her short life.

    Characters

Mika is obviously a very interesting and well-thoughout character. I think you did a great job showing all of her thoughts on the apocalypse and her thoughts about life in general. It gave us a good insight as to what her drive would be like and what really matters to her.

I love that you made Ryan a sweet but flawed character. He obviously loves Mika very much even though he has done many wrong things before, and I love that he isn't a perfect person.

    Overall
This was absolutely fantastic! The final moments of Mika's life were beautiful, and I love that you used the last paragraph to send a message, which is something that every story should have. You did an amazing job taking the prompt and making it your own! I love it!

Oh man, this story is so freaking great. I loved every minute of it. Truly, from beginning to end, I was reading frantically in hopes of Mika being OK. I loved this, the sense of urgency is clear in the story and your mood continues throughout it. I love how original of a zombie story this is. We never hear how someone who has been bitten feels up until the end and now, thanks to you I know. I'm so glad I saw this story and clicked on the link. Perfection!
