    Hello! Bye

(I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to be writing my comments down as a read along. Sorry if my comment comes out a little choppy because of that.)

I was attracted to this story by the title - Why, Georgia - I immediately thought of John Mayer's song by the same title.

"Georgia lived in a jar / / She thought the lid was the sky" <--I thought that was really beautiful. After just seeing that line, I couldn't not read this story.

Your descriptions are lovely. They're so full and really help to paint a picture. Like in the first paragraph, just mentioning the cicadas and the breeze made me feel like I was right outside with them.

Holy smoke! From the first few paragraphs, I wasn't expecting their to be so much action. I didn't realize this was going to be a sci-fi/fantasy story. I'm so excited to read on!

I love Georgia's curiosity and sense of adventure. I love that she didn't just go running after the boom but she went to check it out. I think it shows that she's very brave (even if a little reckless) and I think we could do with more curious women in books.

Sassy humanoid aliens! How I swoon! I love that Georgia and the alien are acting like they're in such a normal predicament - like he crashes into Earth all the time and she meets aliens every day.

I've only finished the first chapter, but I'm subscribing. I can't wait to learn more about Phoenix and this alien war and Georgia's brother. This looks like it's going to be a great story!
