my friend had recommended this, so i decided to read the summary. interesting fact: i learned in school that every 11 years, the sun switches polarities every 11 years. the last time it happened was in 2001, and when it did it knocked out a lot of satellites and screwed up electricity a bit. so, the next time its supposed to happen? 2012. (go figure) so i had thoughts about this year being the end of the technological era. sounds a little like the first half of your summary no?

Once it's all finished, you should seriously see about getting it published!

This story was amazing. It ended a little quickly, but if there is a part two I'm okay with that. This should seriously be a book.

Of course we knew Val would come back for her! I mean, come on!

I'm excited for the sequel. Kissing, ehh? :don:

Eeep. I'm so glad that you're making a part 2! I don't know what I would have done if you just up and quit like other authors on this site. I do look forward to your stories! You're such an amazing author. ^_^

Aww, I feel terrible for poor Val. His dad's still cool though. :XD

I hope Columbine finally gets her act together and offers him some sort of comforting gesture, otherwise it might be too late to save the guy.

    Keep up the good work!

I liked Valentin's dad. He was pretty damn cool. A scary, evil little bastard, but pretty damn cool.

So, anyways, I'm just shocked more people haven't read this. It's fucking amazing. :arms: I hate it how those stupid fanfics have sixty million comments for mentioning some famous people, but when anything genuinely interesting comes up, no one is interested. It's so stupid. :grr:

The way you write, it's lovely. You don't rush events, but you don't exactly leave us hanging either. Well, except for that cliffhanger you had at the end of chapter fifty-one, but you are forgiven for updating so promptly. I really love Columbine's name; I'm a total sucker for odd and unusual names. :tehe:

I love your characters and the way they interact as well....Scarlett, Sarah, Charlie, Valentin, they're all so quirky. It's very amusing. I think Sarah and Charlie should realize that they belong together. It would be the most hilarious relationship, ever. I mean, they'd fight a lot, and they'd spend every other day trying to kill on another, but I think they'd really fit together nicely. :cute:

Columbine and Valentin. I love those two as well. I'm glad Columbine is admitting she might develop feelings for Valentin, but with the way she is, that probably won't happen without a nudge from Sarah and Scarlett. Valentin should get his act together as well, boys can be so out of it sometimes.

I just linked my bff, Lilly, to this, so she can read it as well. It's seriously that good. :cute:

This is one of the most incredible things I have ever read. Seriously.

This is, basically, a book. It's not some fanfiction, it's the quality I'd expect from a publishing company. Really.

I'd love to write a long review about your attention to detail, how wonderful your character devolpment was, and the over-all amazing and original take on vampires, magic, and such, but at the moment I'm too tired. I'll probably come back and do it later. :cute:

Keep it up! This is incredible!

    Some Answers To Some Questions:
-Vinyl records still need to send electical signals that are converted into sound.
-Cars operate with the aid of batteries (electricity).
-None of the characters know why electricity is gone, but I do: the laws of physics changed and metal was no longer a good conductor of electic current.
I hope this answered some of the questions people have asked. :)

Oooooh... I was right, this is a really good story.

But... could you maybe explain what happened to the electricity? Was there some kind of change in a law of the universe, because that would be the only real explanation. And then if that changed then so many other things would change. Because humans (and all other living things') nervous systems run on electricity.

Hmm... and gasoline and cars has nothing to do with electricity.

If you don't have an explanation, that's cool, i was just wondering if there was one.

Great work, ch. 1 and 2 are great!

I hate to be rude, and i haven't read the story yet (Hopefully i will get the time though), but even if there is no electricity you can still play music. They have kinetically wound vinyl disk players. They came around way before electricity.

    :(

But that's okay. :) Because i'm sure the story is great.
