I was trying to get 3 updates in a week. This week has been busy with a new promotion at work so I will be lucky if I get 1 update in. I'm trying, though. I didn't realize how much I loved the idea of Audrey and James until the last few chapters. My heart is as flustered as hers is lol

Awww, thank you. You are so kind. It's always a good feeling knowing your writing touches someone the way mine does you. I'm working my hardest to get another chapter out this week. Kind of hit a roadblock in the planning so it's been rough, but I think I got something planned Very Happy

i have been a silent reader. when i started, there was 31 chapters so i figured two chapters a day would get me done in roughly two weeks. yeaaaahhh that didn't last long. ive been waking up early and staying up late sacrificing sleep and time to get ready for other things simply to read. i am more than in love with this book. please stay active in updating because if you don't i might just die. this book has grabbed me and altered my life in so many ways, you are so talented and im so glad ive encountered this book.

You've posted the next chapter fast.
Crazy Hector is back alive and well.
James just had to be mean, i think that's some kind of defense mechanism, but i could be wrong of course.
I hope Cory gets better soon.

The Audrey/Daniel Moment was sweet, i loved it.
But Audrey/James is obviously the end game, Daniel is going to get hurt and i feel very sorry for him, he's such a nice man.

I agree with you. I also like this James much more.

I had 2 (or was it 3) chapters to read from this week, i love how frequently you update.
For a second i actually thought that you were going to kill Cory, but i'm glad they got them in the car.
I really hope they find Hector or he finds them, hopefully Hector is still a live, they better not find a zombie Hector.

I knew it James can be nice and sweet, of course he had to ruin it right after that. But he wouldn't been James if he didn't.
And they went back to bitching at each other, sectretly i totally love those.
When Cory said to them ''You two should just fuck'' my first reaction was, i agree. But i didn't expect it to happen in this chapter.
I'm foreseeing some drama with that, especially when they get back to the manor and Daniel.
I'm wondering if James is going to ignore that it happend or that he's just going to rub it in, probally not in Daniel's face but totally Audrey's.
Yeah he can be an asshole but he's still an attractive asshole Cool
Btw i loved the discription of his tattoos.

When i finished chapter 31 i was like ''no you can't stop here''.

Your book is very addictive, i would need my Dead & Sick fix soon, haha.

I usually never comment on stories (yes I'm THAT silent reader, sorry! Embarassed ) but I'm so glad I came across this story a week ago!

I loved the new chapter! I was wondering how you'd go about it. I can't wait to read how Audrey and James' relationship progresses! I love them as a couple btw ;) I'm loyally committed to reading this story. Anytime my email dings I read it! Love it!

Hello, lovely! I will for sure be looking forwards to your weekend comments. I'm so happy that the internship is going well for you. It's always a joy to find something that you love doing. I really appreciate all the kind words you give me. Yes, at times it can be discouraging to not receive comments on my writing, but I agree that it is tacky and rude to constantly be pushing for them. I write because I have a story to tell. My inspiration comes from my creative mind, not from the desire to have comments on each chapter.

Yes, Cassie was in the 2007 version. She was 19 in that version, but I wanted to make her older in this one. I changed her backstory and attitude around a little. As for Daniel, Hector, and James, welllllllllll, a girl can dream, haha. When I imagine Daniel, I don't actually picture him as a sexy man. I see him as a very attractive, soft featured male; but not one who oozes sex appeal. I see Hector as a looker, but not someone who would focus on a relationship with women. He is the type to put business before pleasure. James on the other hand is walking sex. I could probably turn myself on just by thinking about him, haha. And yes, the tattoos are new. I'm not trying to kill you with his looks, haha, but I hope that if this ever makes it to the big screen that the actor who plays him will be able to make girls tremble just by his appearance. Fictional men are always better than real life.

I understand what you mean about the next death. It's probably borderline psychotic how excited I get when it comes to killing a character. There will be some where I might get upset, but every death is a necessity.

It's weekend so that means i have the time to post a comment.
Now with my internship you will probably only hear from me in weekends.

Cassie was in the 2007 version right? her name sounds familiar but i can't exactly remember her.
I think Aaron (Aar Bear, haha) and Cassie will be cute together.
Love the Daniel, Hector and James pairing, why do you have to make your guys so sexy (haha) it only can be better (worse) if you put the sexy perv with them. Then i would most likely melt.
James has tattoos, what, that's new right? otherwise bad me for not noticing it in the previous version. James just got hotter (if that's even possible), Are you trying to kill me?

I'm waiting quite anxiously for the next death,i know that's bad but i'm really curious to what his/her transformation will be like.

When there's a new chapter i always read your comment before i read the chapter, why i do that, i have honestly no idea but whenever there's a new chapter that's the first thing i do.

I'm so happy for you that you've got 4 new subscribers, your story deserves to be read.
I'm also happy that your not one of those people who demand (fill in the blank) comments before posting a new chapter, i really hate that. that's the reason i gave up on online reading, you are the only person i read anything online from. so thank you for that. Very Happy

There you are! I have missed you and your comments, haha. Congrats on the internship. Do you enjoy baking? I'm awful with food, lol. Thankfully I have a husband who is an amazing chef.

I had a lot of fun making this layout. It's probably my favorite one to date. Creepy and dark is what I was aiming for. I wanted a bloody theme, one with guts and zombies, but this cleaner layout fit perfectly.

I really loved Edvard, but sadly I had no direction to take him in so I had to end his life. The transformation was fast, but I plan on making it different each time. It will depend on how powerful each character's will to live is, and Edvard's wasn't very strong.

In the original version, Junior wasn't very prominant. I will consider sending him on a run. He is more of a lover than a fighter. His desire to find Brittany is what had him survive this long.

I'm making the series 6 (possibly 7) books long. The original version was 75 chapters long and about 355 pages. This was because I wrote shorter chapters and did a lot of time jumps. I'd say that the Dead & Sick rewrite will be about 50 chapters and over 400 pages, but don't hold me to those numbers, lol. I have a feeling, though, that this first book will come to a close by July. I write everyday and try to post 3 times a week. When I first started this in 2007, I had numerous readers and subscribers. The fact that I have so few now is both surprising and discouraging; but getting comments from you each time makes posting worth it. Very Happy

    I Missed so much.
A month ago i started (what's sort of) a internship at a bakery so my day starts at 3:30 am so when i get home i'm beat and haven't found the time yet the post a comment.

That new layout is very creepy, it really scared me when i first saw it, haha.

    Hooray for Brittany and Junior.
I loved the james/Audrey part when he showed her how to shoot.
I liked that we got to know a bit more of some characters, sadly edvard died after that and wow his transformation was fast.
The Audrey,James,Cory and Hector Pairing is great, i love to see more of them together.
And maybe Daniel, Hector and Junior(?) make a good pairing. we don't know much about Junior but i'm thinking maybe it will work.

So glad you kept the name Kellen.
Do you have any idea how many chapters this book is going to have?

I Just read chapter 18, read your comment at the bottom and noticed that i forgot to read chapter 17.
so yeah i read 18 before 17 and even though they were back in the manor at chapter 18 i didn't notice it until i read 17. Bangin

    I liked the Audrey/James moment.
And i don't think you should change Daniel and Aaron's lastname i don't think Kellen and Cullen look a like, And if other people have a problem with it, well that is their problem.
I honestly didn't link those 2 names together, I didn't even noticed it. And if you pick another lastname people will probably link that to something else, since their are so many books/series and movies their will always be firstnames and lastnames used in something else. And twilight and your books don't look even anything a like. So in my opinion you should keep the name Kellen. Wink

And i just love Cory i find him really funny, i laughed so hard in this chapter.
He must be fun to write.
I love that the chapters are so long, because then i have more to read Smile

As usual, I always enjoy your comments. I have wondered about how I could slow the progression. My original plan was to have a 4 book series, but in order to focus on the important issues and not cram so much into one book, I might extend the series. This book is already at 140 pages and has only covered the first 3 weeks of the infestation. It would taint the integrity of the book to rush Roman's birth, especially when I have new ideas I want to incorporate. This book was my baby and thankfully I kept many notes which have aided me in its rewrite. And yes, the supply run wasn't in the previous version. I want to spend more time developing the characters so that their future actions could be understood.

I just noticed that i missed 2 chapters and that you've been married for a month :o
Belated congratulations, i wish you and your husband a happy married life.
    I hope you've had a wonderful wedding.

I can't believe that even though you lost the 2007 version of the books, you still remember it al, that's amazing
I like that you put in some new info, like them hunting for supplies. i thought that wasn't in the previous one but i'm not sure.
But i've been wondering about something, is this book going to have the same progression as the 2007 one. because in my opion when i think about now it might have been a little too fast.
With this i mean the part in the books about the other ''creatures'' (i'm not going to say the names of them because i might spoil it if someone else reads this) and Roman, alex and katie.
So i'm wondering if your going to put them in this one or if your going to do something completely different?
I'm not trying to down talk your books, i'm not doing that at all because i seriously loved them and i just wanted to give you my opion. So i hope your not feeling attacked by it.

And as always i look forward too the next chapters.

The last 2 chapters were nice.
yay for audrey getting her brother Aaron back, and i totally forgot about Junior.
And how about January 16 for Audrey's birthday?

I would have posted a comment sooner but i've been quite busy lately, so i'll hope you forgive me XD
but without kidding my comments will probably be take some time for a while.

can't wait for the next. Smile

I am actually very happy that you always comment. Most people are just silent readers and not active responders, but it's those active responders that play a big role in the success of a story. When it comes time for this to be published, you will proudly be able to say that you have seen the rawness of the story and its transformation long before anyone else has. You input has definitely helped how I shape most of my characters and events. The reason I decided to keep most of their ages the same was because I wanted to show a character who was forced to grow up before she was ready to. Overall, this series will span over the course of ten years. If I had started my characters off older then they would have been in their late 30's to early 40's by the time I was done and that wasn't an age that I wanted to explore with them. Having Audrey begin her journey at only seventeen adds a bit of scandal, especially when it comes to many of the explicit scenes that I will be adding. I also began this series when I myself was seventeen, so it felt wrong to age Audrey just because I had aged. Nevertheless, I will bump up her birthday for you, haha. Her birthday was originally July 12th, how about you pick a date between January and March and that will be her new birthday.

I actually am not a big fan of reading. I haven't read a whole book since I was sixteen. The last book that I ever read was the 2nd book in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I was so turned off by her style of writing that I made it a goal to never write like that. Thus my interest in reading died and my love for writing was born. When I was 13, I read Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. That was a good book. Also, House by Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker was wonderful as well. I cannot say that I have a favorite author or genre because growing up, I read so much that exploring all of those genres is what shaped my writing today. Overall, I do enjoy fantasy fiction, and a little bit of action and sic-fi. I like reading about creatures, and forbidden attraction.

I was actually considering to not post a comment for a while, the reason was that more than half of the comments are from me (now 5 out of 9), but then i read your comment on the latest chapter which said that you do like to hear from your readers. If this series ever get published i would definitly buy it, well if they would sell it in my country, but i'm getting way ahead of myself because its nowhere near there.... yet (keep thinking positive).

I'm very happy with all the details you put in, like when the female zombie pushed herself through the fence, i could really see it in front of me. but i was wondering if there is a reason why you had all the characters have the same age as they did all those years ago? since this version is more mature i kind off expected Audrey to be a bit older then 17. When i read books that have characters in it that are 17 they are usually young adult books, do you understand what i'm saying? But other then that i'm positive about the story/book.

OT: i'm actually curious to know what kind of books do you read? what are your favorite authors?

I admit it i am totally guilty of having a huge ass grin on my face the entire chapter.
I forgot what Cory looked like so when you described him i did not reconise him.
Daniel i recognised the instant you typed blue eyes, and well when i read the black hair, green eyes i tink my grin actually got bigger.

i've been waiting for the moment they found the radio, now i know that what i'm most excited for is coming, can hardly wait.

ot: my favorite characters of TWD are Daryl and Carol as well and i also like Beth i think she changed alot, but i absolutely hate Glenn and Maggie, i used to like Glenn but now i tend to dislike him more every episode and i really want him and maggie gone. And lately i don't like Rick's character. And yes your right i also don't like the fact that they seem to need a new enemy every season. i also got really annoyed with the fact that the prison lasted like what was it 2 or 3 seasons, glad that's over.

I am a huge fan of The Walking Dead, as well. My favorite characters are Carol, Daryl, and Judith. I don't like, though, how every season has a new enemy. It's like there are no other good people that the writers can create.
