omg i'm so happy this got updated, and i can't wait for the next!! whenever it comes!! i liked the little banter, and that she's pushing herself to do more than think about her ex.
First of all, I like this layout. It's very pastel-y and calming. But moving on to the actual story, I like the plot of this so far. I like all the details about Trix and Jackson's relationship, how it was a cliche but that it turned out very wrong. Gives a lot of reality to all the cliches you see in movies/TV and even stories on here. You always read the meeting-in-a-coffee-shop trope and the stories always end with a happily ever after. I like that you made it very real.
Now onto chapter two. I can already see Trix and Harry's future despite nothing happening between them yet, but I like that she's friends with his sister. I don't like Jacks. I was indifferent to him before since we didn't know much, but him throwing a temper tantrum and wreaking havoc at her place makes me hate him. And the fact that he's done it before. Ugh, bye.
Your writing is wonderful. Everything flows so nicely it's really easy to read. I don't know how to describe it, but when I'm reading it in my head, the voice is just very calm. I dunno, I'm not making any sense lmao. But this is great and I can't wait to read the rest of it!
I don't normally read One Direction stories, but I was actually intrigued by the title and I like the simplicity of the layout, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm glad I did!
I just got done the first chapter, and I really, really enjoy your writing. I loved how you started out describing different aspects of the main character's life, and they all somehow came together and tied into the main idea of chapter one. I appreciated the realistic take you put on the relationship between Trix and Jackson. I think a lot of people can relate to being in a tumultuous relationship and staying in it because it's comfortable and what you've known for so long. I liked the aftermath of their...breakup?...as well. It wasn't just done and over with and time to move on. Trix felt it, and I think the readers could feel it, as well.
I also enjoyed the side characters, especially Sam. When she said, "You didn’t bloody do it, did ya, Trix?”, it was weird how I could actually hear it in my head. I love it when writers can accomplish something like that.
So far I really like this. The first chapter really drew me in and I already like Trix. I like the way you do narration here. It's casual without feeling too silly or scattered. It looks like you put a lot of thought into who you want Trix to be and it really shows. I like that she has that bit of a quirk - her love of photographs/memories - but you haven't made her out to be this really 'far out' character who is more quirks than person. She has this unique quality but other than that, she seems like a normal girl.
I think her relationship with Jackson is pretty realistic. I think it's definitely understandable for someone who got into a serious relationship at a young age to stay in that relationship even after things stop being good.
The thing I really liked about Trix (and the aftermath of her relationship with Jax) was that there was an actual aftermath. I like that she didn't break up with him and then just forget about him. I loved seeing her question things and think about (and maybe even pine a tiny bit) about her relationship with Jackson - because even though it was over (and had been over for a while) it was still something that took up 4 years of her life.
