in my culture, we usually do henna tattoo's in celebration to our holiday's so naturally i was drawn to this concerning the title. i love how this sparks w/ two girls madly in love w/ e/o that they sought it fit to connect themselves through this innocent gesture of tattoo's. how romantic is that? also - since no one knew the lovers were girls until the end. plot twist & i surprise surprise i love
Ah, surprises at the end! I loved this, I loved that it was a deep search for a way to feel connected more than physically, sexually. I loved that, it made this so special. And I loved the imagery of the tattoo; it sounded so elegant and gorgeous, sweet and passionate and feminine and just loving. It was just so beautiful and so well done.
I adore how this focuses on the multiple different ways people can connect. Our society has become so sex-driven that to read something like this is entirely refreshing. Human contact is something so deep, and yet, you manage to capture that feeling particularly well in this drabble. This is excellent work.
