Bucky admitting that he was jealous must have been a big thing for him. And it was cute how he was just as, if not more, nervous as she was. I would have taken the pie though, then continued the convo

But seriously, this was super cute. I don't want to see it end because there is so much more for them but I guess happy endings are awesome and stuff and ahhhh slow dances and sweet kisses and just..


And mean while, Steve's in the friendzone forever. I hope they at least give him pie.

This story just makes me all kinds of giddy and happy and I hope you do more or another one or a companion piece or a drabble about Steve's time in the friendzone OMG MAKE IT A THING THAT HE KNOWS LIKE HE'S AT HOME CROCHETING DOILIES OR SOMETHING AND HE JUST STOPS AND LOOKS UP AND IS LIKE "HOLY SHIT, I JUST GOT FRIENDZONED!" OR SOMETHING

But seriously, I feel so bad for everyone in this story. Helen is clueless and has no confidence, Bucky is too gentlemanly to say anything to her and Steve, well Steve is hiding in his apartment because he's me too and he's socially awkward.

I freaking love this story and the emotion you weave into it.

And Bucky saying Doll, omg I would just melt if he called me that

The whole time I read this, I was like - "Helen. What are you doing. What are you doing Helen? Helen, stop. Stop doing what you're doing Helen. Helen, just stop. Jesus Helen!"

And then she fobbed poor Steve off and I was like "Helen, no."

Inciting emotion is one of the best feelings, whether reading or writing, and this did that for me - even if it was slightly negative - "Dammit Helen!"

It was refreshing to see Bucky leading her through a dance and not just teaching, but at the same time, it's kind of heartbreaking to know it comes at the cost of Steve's already super low confidence. Can't they all just be friends?

Bucky's clearly not as happy to steal girls away from Steve as Steve thinks he is - he constantly brings it back to Steve and teaching them both, not just here, which I think really proves not only the loyalty he has towards Steve but the respect he has for their friendship. Steve's his brother, and Bucky puts that first. I love the dynamic between them.

Here's hoping for less "What are you doing Helen?!" moments haha.

The second chapter takes place at a later date, so that's why her dress is a different colour. I definitely should have made that more obvious, sorry! I hope you'll enjoy reading the future chapters too

Ahhh the minute I started reading this I had butterflies in my belly and a stupid grin on my face. I blushed too, got your back Steve.

This was ridiculously cute, and so well written too. I loved every second of it and really hope there's more to it. I'd be the girl on the couch in the corner, staying out of everyone's way and sight, so I understand their apprehension. Helen did better than me, if a guy like Bucky - or even Steve because let's be honest, he's gorgeous too - spoke to me, I'd probably just blush myself to death and run to hide in the bathroom or something haha. This was gorgeous and handled so well, and I love how gentlemanly you've made them both.

There's only one problem that I could find; in the first chapter, she's wearing an olive dress and in the second, she's wearing a navy blue one :) Nothing big, but something I noticed.

I loved this and I can't wait for more!! :D

Dancing with 1940's Bucky is my dream. Really, I just want to live in the forties...not just in the MCU with Steve and Bucky, but ya know...
