I think it's interesting that you talked about how everyone wears masks, but then set the character apart. You still made the point, though, that everyone wears a mask, even if it is only visible to themselves. And it's intriguing how far you describe people taking it; no longer just hiding, but becoming something hiding something else. The only thing I would've liked more is if you had included more of the character's voice.
