I appreciate the local feel of it. You didn’t spend time to take the story into a different culture or country but rather you were able to take readers into a glimpse of what the Filipino culture is like. How significant these things can be like for us. Loved it!

I like how this is a reflection created in the scene of the memory. It makes all of the descriptions that you used much more realistic. The inclusion of multiple senses in your memory is also a very realistic element in this beautiful short story. The fact that it is also not necessarily a reflection on youth by itself makes this story unique. Wonderful!
