I'm definitely not familiar with the Teen Wolf fandom, but I liked that I was able to read and make sense of this story even if I wasn't familiar with the characters/world.
You always have such great descriptions in all of your stories, and this was no exception. You did such an amazing job at describing the feeling of a panic attack/panic in general. As someone who deals with panic a lot, you captured the feeling perfectly which I really liked.
The fact that just hearing Derek's voice made kind of brought him back into reality was so sweet, I loved that. AND THE ENDING, Derek is such a sweetheart, awe. I loved the range of emotion through the whole thing and the way you were able to just effortlessly transition to everything was great.

Why did I read this? I knew it was going to be painful, I knew the feels would beat me into submission, but I went ahead and read this anyway. Derek should have been in S5, he should have been there to support Stiles, to protect him and look after him. He should have been there!
Stiles was so broken in that season, so much worse off than he was after the Nogitsune. He was losing everyone, he was on the outside of the Pack - Scott was being a bigger douche than normal - and he had no Derek. It's been clear since S1 that Derek and Stiles have a connection, that they're each others anchors. Derek never tries so hard to protect anyone the way he does Stiles, and Stiles has always held himself together when Derek is close. Now Derek is gone and Stiles is falling apart. I just want to wrap him in my arms and keep him safe from the world.
This was was written beautifully, and really fit the dynamic that Stiles and Derek have - its not just attraction or love or even affection, its being a solid foundation for each other. They know where they stand with each other. They don't have to ask questions or say anything because all they need is for the other to be there and everything else slips away, everything else is white noise while they feel safe. Derek dropping everything to come to Stiles speaks volumes of just how much he cares for Stiles, and we know if it were the other way around, Stiles would do the same thing. Which he does, he's done so time and time again. They're important to each other, and always will be. And they respect each other, and trust each other, which speaks volumes because Derek trusts no one. They're comfort and strength and they don't have to pretend with each other - Derek doesn't have to pretend to be strong all the time and Stiles doesn't have to hide that he's really afraid. They'll always have each others backs.
These two. Jesus, just, these fucking two. They're home for each other. Whenever they're together, they're home.
