As someone who hasn't read or watched Game of Thrones, I'm really liking this set of one-shots. They seem like nice little do-able glimpses/intro into this world. I think it's a really good way to ease the reader into the fandom. I especially like how the narration is done in this one. It reminds me a bit of a historical re-cap or maybe of something I'd read in a historical novel.
Another thing I really liked was the language and how it fits so perfectly into the story's narration/setting. Phrases like " Of the Bolton men that had survived, most had bent the knee but few remained loyal to House Bolton and had been rewarded with a sword." are a nice detail and a good way to keep readers kind of in the mindset of the time period.
