I think, at this point, I like Uncle Conner better than Isaac's parents. I mean, why the heck couldn't they have taken their son with one of them? Maybe with the mother since she isn't too far away? I can understand the dad since he moved super far away, but leaving him with an uncle that he never met always seems strange. But I guess they can't take Isaac with them... maybe. I am happy that Uncle Conner is trying his best to make Isaac feel more welcome than he already does.

Something about the second chapter that I loved was how his thoughts were interrupted by someone and isn't of finishing his thoughts, they were literally interrupted. You could have said something like: and his thoughts were interrupted by..., but no, and I freaking love that. And honestly, it made me laugh. With one sentence, I already love Lorraine. She seems so cheerful and I love that!
He’d planned on reading at lunch I can already tell that it's not going to happen. It's too late to be the loner new guy who eats lunch by himself.

Well, if you couldn't already tell, I'm in love with this story and have actually been subscribed to it for a while, but never had a good chance to just sit down and read it. But now I have and I love it and it's amazing.
