Point one: I am 100% Jack. I have the decorations up at the end of November. No regrets. Also I feel like Matt isn't getting involved in the Christmas festivities and I want him to? I feel like his grumpy face will require cheering up shortly. I hope Jack's up for the challenge. And when I read on, he is! The Christmas music. The only part of Christmas I can't stand so I'm with Matt on this one.

I feel like Matt's mood turning sour just sours the entire season, and you can feel it getting dark before anything even happens. It's just natural human nature that if somebody enjoys something you hate that there's gonna be friction, and it's a shame that it ends up with them having multiple arguments. It really does make it worrying when Matt is talking about how he doubts they'll be together forever, or he's starting to have doubts anyway. And then there's that heartbreaking bit where they're both just sad over the whole thing thing and ugh my heart.

And then everything is patched up and yes I am happy. Everything ends well and I have the Christmas feeling back.

I like how this piece shows their relationship as it is throughout the entirety of the festive season. It's nice to see the changes and the way in which they interact as the day gets closer. It's very fluffy and cute and I just enjoyed watching them grow as a couple throughout the season.

I'M SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT. THANK-YOU SO MUCH. And yeah, I wanted another couple and it seemed fitting to have some John and Alex (especially with a kid, cos my heart...).

There's actually a reason there's not a lot of filler, hahaha. I was obviously on a time limit to complete it in a month, but also I felt like the start of the fic had a lot of filler that was important to the story but also not THAT important. I wanted it to sort of... snowball the events as it got closer to Christmas, if you'll excuse the pun, because that's kinda what the Christmas season is like. Everything happens really fast, and the fic is taking place one day after the other, so it was like... even the characters weren't getting a break, it was sort of all in real time. (And I secretly find filler stuff absolutely the most tedious thing to write on the planet so I usually try to make it somewhat relevant... the smut at the end was actually meant to be filler but then I didn't feel like writing a full porn scene HAHAHAH sorry fam).

I really enjoyed this fic and am so proud of how hard you worked on it! You can definitely see that in the writing. I loved how it wasn’t your stereotypical Christmas fic, as in major fluff and romance. It was domestic and showed that while Christmas is a fun time, it’s also a very stressful time. I love the characters (of course you slipped a lil calagarth in there), I thought they worked really well together. The only criticism is maybe adding a bit more fillers in between? Otherwise this was an amazing fic and I’m so proud of you Eve!
