Hey! I'm finally getting around to judging my Christmas contest that I both forgot about and found too overwhelming because life got in the way. But I'm here now, and as promised, I'm leaving a comment on every entry regardless of the place they'll rank.
So, first of all, THAT WAS THE SADDEST THING I'VE EVER FUCKING READ. IT WAS SO SAD BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA END HAPPY BUT NO. I'm a sucker for a happy ending so I like to believe Ryan hesitates too much before he pulls the trigger and Brendon comes back in time to help him, because that was so painfully sad.
Regardless, I loved your descriptions. I feel so bad for Ryan. Brendon's religious nature was a really nice touch to the story. Everything about it was really gripping to read.
The only thing I would alter is the fact the story doesn't have a summary, cos I always think a good summary can be the difference between someone reading a story and moving onto something else.
