This was so sweet. I loved having that look back at how things were before everything got fucked up. It baffles me that he could feel the way he does in this chapter and then go and do what she thinks he did. I think there has to be some other explanation... that could just 100% wishful thinking on my part though. lol.

Great job with the new updates! Apologies for the delay in commenting; my life has been pretty hectic as of late.
But anyway, hmm... so I got three update notifications? But there's only technically two new chapters? Although I think you changed up chapter 8 a bit, so that's probably why I got three.
I wonder what happened with Jack while she was away. This is an interesting concept to bring in. Instead of him just being sad about it, like I see with a ton of other stories, you're bringing in a concept that's realistic, when thinking about how people react to things. Or, it's just... idk how to word it, but it's like a reaction and it gives us more to show how exactly her leaving impacted Jack. Like, not only did it make him sad, it made him turn to other outlets, so I'm interested in learning more about that.
lol I'm still so biased for Alex and just think his moments with her are so cute, haha. <3 But I know this is a Jack story. I'm getting that through my head, or trying to. XD
I'm kind of bummed that she didn't wait to hear Jack out, when they finally got that moment alone. Why must she be so difficult. But you may have a lot more planned before that, and so, I can understand spacing it out and not having it happen quite yet. It just bummed me out a bit though that she was running from her problems yet again.
I love how the recent update moves into Jack's POV. We're finally getting a taste of his thoughts, and that flashback chapter has me further convinced that what she saw wasn't what she thought at their graduation.
I think that about covers my thoughts so far. Interested in seeing what more you have in store. :)

I agree with Nanook's last comment. I feel like Alex had to know whatever was happening. I would like to think that it was all totally blown out of proportion and that Jack didn't actually cheat but it really doesn't look good. Hopefully, we get more information and get to hear Jacks side of things. I'm really hoping that Sara doesn't go back to Denver. If she is okay with being away from him like that, then he def is not who she should be with no matter how nice of a guy he is.

Wasn't sure you would come back, but happy you did. Great job with the new chapter! Hmm... something I never mentioned with my original feedback: I feel like Alex knows all of what happened. I have a prediction that it was also just drawn out of proportion. But it's kind of concerning how Alex just let her leave without telling her what she really saw... I mean, I know it was for Jack to explain, but still. I mean, if this theory I have is accurate. I think it is though.
Can't help but wonder what's going to happen since she has to go back. :/ I don't see her leaving school. Hmm...
I have to personally thank you again for writing a Jack story that I can get through, lol. Again, usually I don't really read them... a lot of them that I try, like they just make me so uncomfortable and I can't put my finger on why. I guess maybe because a lot of them distance the main character/love interest from the other guys, and then this one, doesn't? This one she seems just as close, or hell, maybe even closer when it comes to Alex, as she was/is with Jack. And there isn't any jealousy of that factor, either, or well, not that you've shown. I really like that aspect, so thank you for writing the story in this way. :) I honestly think that has to be why I'm able to read it, lol.
So, as promised, I am still here reading, haha. Interested in seeing what's next in store for this. :D

I'm not really one to usually read Jack love-interest stories (prefer Alex ones usually), but this story so far... is really awesome. I'm surprised that I'm the first to be commenting on it.
You're a really good writer; you put in details I feel a lot of fanfic writers forget. I really like what you have going with this story; the plot line, admittedly, is similar to what I've seen before, but not entirely the same. You make it your own.
Bummed to see it was never continued, though. If you do ever choose to continue it, I will be here to read. This is probably one of the more recently updated stories I've read recently, actually, so I'm hopeful that you could maybe come back to it.
In the mean time, I believe I'll be checking out your other stuff, since I really enjoyed what you had of this one- which is only six chapters, so that's impressive that it drew me in. :)
