Ahhh, they smiled at one another, mother of God my heart! I think the fact that they sent letters to one another is a great idea. It wasn't them meeting and everything, it was just writing notes/letters to one another which, in itself, is super cute. Ahhhhh, Draco is anxious about it, the poor child. I like how you title them 'Prince of Slytherin' and 'Gryffindor's Golden Boy'. I just really like those nicknames, honestly. Just imagining them talking with actual kindess and friendship makes my heart really warm and happy. It makes sense that Draco wouldn't open up to Harry, especially after being enemies for so long. It was probably a really big deal to him. This is so fucking cute. I love the interactions between them and just how taken aback Draco is by some of Harry's behavior. It's so cute to see!
Ah yes, Draco keeping up with appearances. I do hope that by the end they'll be able to walk around Hogwarts as friends. I would've liked a little more distaste from Draco at the fact that counting down the new year was a muggle things, since, you know, he is a pureblood and hates muggles/muggle-borns. HARRY HAS FEELINGS FOR DRACO. MOTHER OF GOD, THINGS BETTER GO WELL! IT HAPPENED, THEY KISSED OH MY GOD YES PLEASE GOOD. GOOD SHIT. I'm screaming because Draco felt the same oh lord, I have tears in my eyes this so so freaking cute! I LOVE THIS JESUS, I CAN JUST SEE IT ALL PLAYING OUT IN MY HEAD!
That being said though, you have to promise to come away from the final battle alive. I can see you doing so much with this line! Hell, I can see a full blown story arising from this!
THE LAST LINE. GOOOOOOOONDESS. I absolutely adored this. There were no mistakes and the story flowed perfectly. Well done!
