I really like the way you've approached this so far. I was a fan of the original, but I am enjoying this deeper look into Riley and the band and their relationships at the beginning, establishing these characters before ever bringing in the other side of the coin (Atti and her father).

I actually like Jed the most, I think. Lol. Every time I read about Riley, I picture Remington Leith for some reason and I wish that would stop. Ha!

I can't wait for more!

I definitely get the feeling that Riley's already leaving town. I can really tell how much work has gone into this - the characters, the plot, the entirety of it - I'm definitely gonna stick around when this picks up more speed.

Honestly Mads, I really do think it's amazing that you're still working on this.

I'm excited for this rewrite! While I greatly enjoyed the original, I agree the beginning needed something new. Can't wait to see what you have in store!

Well, typical of me, I read this entire story tonight, and now that I've really gotten into the meat of it, I'm completely in love. Riley is definitely my favorite character. He's so sweet and playful and childlike in a good way, and I like that he's open enough to know when he's in love and brave enough to admit it. Tannen is adorable though, so I wouldn't mind rooting for him to take his uncle's place.

I've just started this story today and only just finished chapter three, but I like it so far! Your writing is very clean, easy to follow, and natural. I noticed you said it's gone through editing, and it definitely shows that you've worked hard on it. I also appreciate that while this has romance, you didn't just leap into it the first chapter and instead set up Atticus' typical life and routine. Everything just seems really well-done so far.

Also, are the names a Hamilton reference? Theadosia is a pretty unusual name, and while it's actually Theodosia in Hamilton, it's still pretty close. And Phillipa Soo sings for Eliza (yes, I'm a nerd) so I just can't help but wonder!

I just finished chapter 14 and I love this so far! I like your development of the characters, and I really love the way Riley and Atti interact. The sexual tension has been crackling from their first encounter, basically. And I've gotta be honest, I would have jumped him after that perfect date, too! He was willing to be a gentleman, which always wins points. But man, the kisses in the museum would have had me tearing off my clothes. Lol.

I'm going to finish what's posted tonight or tomorrow. I'm interested to see what happens next, and how her dad reacts if/when he finds out.

This story drew me in instantly. I've just finished chapter one, and cannot wait to get back to it after a few chores! I'm excited to see where it goes.

I just read the first chapter and I will definitely continue.
The first chapter alone is quite interesting, as it introduces us to this family in an active way, instead of just telling us who these people are, we are thrown into their chaotic daily lives right off the bat.
I feel bad for Atti, she has to live for her family and doesn't seem to catch a break. You did a fantastic job with the characters too, managed to describe them as you guide us through their day instead of just giving a paragraph full of description.
As someone who sucks at writing dialogue, I'm always impressed at writers who do it well and effortlessly.
Overall, I'm really enjoying this and I'll definitely keep reading!

I think it was an amazing chapter. I loved the way Riley asked the waiter to take their food to go, and I loved the details when you described the restaurant. I liked that Riley was so excited about the date, and kept Atticus guessing what the next stop would be.

I haven't commented in a long time and I'm so super sorry. most of the time I read on my phone and I HATE commenting on my phone but i'll try to do better! anyway -- I'm still in love with the names. ugh. just love them. and I'm really really starting to like Atticus and Riley's relationship. I mean, I liked it before and when he got jealous *SIGH* and the beginning of this date night? I'm loving it. I love how he's taking charge -- I think for once in her life, when she's had to be the one in charge of a lot of things that it's nice for her to sit back and just enjoy the ride, even though she may not like it

I love how she has one moment where she runs into him but doesn't instantly feel attracted or fall in love with him (even though I do that cliche in some stories) but I love how you didn't do that cliche and it was just a casual run in with someone she hadn't met before.

This first chapter is so realistic and so relatable with the oldest taking care of her siblings with a single parent (or at least that was what i picked up on in one chapter) in the household. And I love the names. I know so many people have already said it, but I had to say it again.

Especially since I've seen so many boys in my lifetime named Atticus, it's so cool to see a girl named that.

In my opinion, you did a good job with the first chapter, setting everything up. I know you said you wanted to rework the beginning, but I think it's great :)
