I love this so much

So I have no idea who Bert McCracken is but I saw your blog post about wanting feedback and thought I'd give your story a read! I'm definitely interested to see what happens next since the last chapter was written kind of on a cliffhanger but I feel soooo bad for Bert because I feel like the kind of trauma he would have gotten from having shitty "friends" as a kid really affects the way he should have experienced drugs. On the other hand, you have a really great way of writing in a way that makes me empathize with the main character (especially since I'm reading this as an original since I don't know about the fandom or etc) and doing little things like foreshadowing what with the church scene and the researching quotes from holy text. I definitely feel the build up and appreciate the way you've structured the story, especially the progressive way Bert interacts with the people in his life from his parents to "friends". Yeah, people put out a lot of lies to deter marijuana useand I'm glad you pointed that out as well since as someone with experience with it (lol) it's definitely not a gateway and when used in a sane consensual manner can be a gr8 time. Super glad he stood up to a bully and called the other guy out on his shit! Very great character development to see. I think this is a really well written work that's very thought out and organized so far with no errors (grammar, spelling, etc) that I could easily pull out so props to you!
